What is Goofus Glass? Goofus glass by another name would be pressed or mold-blown glass with cold painted(not fired on in a furnace) decoration. That’s quite a mouthful. So collectors simply prefer Goofus when referring to this type of glass. Many of the Goofus patterns feature flowers and fruit. Among other motifs, raised out of the surrounding glass as seen in vases, powder boxes and lamps. The pattern could also be pressed into the glass from beneath the surface providing an intaglio effect as found in Goofus plates. Baskets and candy dishes. Goofus glass found its way into homes very often as carnival prizes making it the original carnival glass. This listing is for a lot of 3 Fenton white milk glass hobnail plates. They are 8 inches wide. 2 of them are in great shape with no cracks or chips and very. Very little signs of any wear. One of the plates does have some utensil marks in it and a rough spot on one of the hobs. So, the price is for the 2 good ones and I am throwing the other one in with them. Bernardaud Limoges Saucer, 5 3/4 inches - rare
Vintage Bernardaud Limoges Saucer very rare- in excellent condition: no chips. Stains, cracks, or crazing. This is vintage so there may be some light utensil marks. Also the rims on the backs of the plates show the most wear with occasional scuffing- no chips. We found this at an estate sale in Huntington Beach. Ca and have been unable to identify the pattern. The china has been in storage for at least 10 years and belonged to a famous editor at the now defunct Herald Examiner. I know that it is not a contemporary pattern as I have checked the Bernardaud website. I have also checked my resources of discontinued websites and can not find this pattern any where. I have now written directly to Bernardaud asking for their help in identifying these pieces. This could possibly be a special order china. I have included pictures of the full place ... moresetting and the serving pieces. I have at least eleven full place settings, soup bowls, fruit bowls, and more than 14 serving pieces. The condition is amazing. If any of our fellow ebayers have any insight into the origins of this china, we would be most grateful if you would email us and share the information. We feel most fortunate to have found this beautiful china and to have found it in such wonderful condition. UPDATE: We contacted Bernardaud in Paris and they were most kind and generous with their time. They said that this china is very old and that they no longer have any pieces of it so they can't tell me the pattern name. They suggested if someone would like a 12th place setting(we have 11 plus 14 serving pieces) that they could mix this with the contemporary Bernardaud Palmyra and that the look together would be quite stunning. Etched flowers/leaves pattern drinking glass 1890-1910 era 3-3/4 inches tall
An early drinking glass with etched leaves and flowers. It is in good condition. There is one fleabite tiny chip on the rim- hard to notice. Glass is thin as was the case for an elegant dining table setting. It measures 3-3/4 inches tall and 2-5/8 inches diameter. It looks like it will turn sun colored amethyst. My guess is it is circa 1890 to 1910. Shipping is $2.92 first class in the USA. More elsewhere. I combine shipping to save you $$ and no extra charge for handling. Bernardaud Limoges Creamer, 2 3/4 inches, rare, excellent condition
Vintage Bernardaud Limoges Creamer. Very rare- in excellent condition: no chips, stains, cracks, or crazing. This is vintage so there may be some light utensil marks. Also the rims on the backs of the plates show the most wear with occasional scuffing- no chips. I have included a picture of the cream and sugar together so you could see what the set looks like. The sugar bowl is also available for sale We found this at an estate sale in Huntington Beach. Ca and have been unable to identify the pattern. The china has been in storage for at least 10 years and belonged to a famous editor at the now defunct Herald Examiner. I know that it is not a contemporary pattern as I have checked the Bernardaud website. I have also checked my resources of discontinued websites and can not find this pattern any where. I have now written directly to Bernardaud ... moreasking for their help in identifying these pieces. This could possibly be a special order china. I have included pictures of the full place setting and the serving pieces. I have at least eleven full place settings, soup bowls, fruit bowls, and more than 14 serving pieces. We feel most fortunate to have found this beautiful china and to have found it in such wonderful condition. UPDATE: We did contact Bernardaud in Paris and they were most kind and generous with their time. They told us that the china is very old and they no longer have any pieces in stock so they could not give us a name for the pattern. They suggested that if someone were looking for a 12th place setting(we have 11 full place settings plus 14 serving pieces) that this china would look fabulous when paired with the Bernardaud contemporary pattern Palymra- very stylish!
