They have no cracks and slight signs of use and age. There is a little paint loss to the black enamel and some minor surface rust as shown in the pictures. The brackets measure 9 1/2" tall x 7 1/2 across the top. They have an ornate curl on the end where the shelf would rest. I would say a 6" deep shelf would be placed in the area. Each side of the shelf brackets have 4 holes for mounting to the wall and 4 holes to mount the wood shelf you provide. These were commonly used at the turn of the century and seen in Grocery Stores. Pair 18"x16" Antique Cast Iron Art Deco Nouveau Sink Shelf Brackets
This is an exceptionally fine pair of iron or steel sink brackets. The nicest I have seen. They are finely made with art deco or nouveau styling measuring 8"x16" they have mounting holes on one side. One bracket has had the paint removed but the fine detailing has been preserved. The small mounting studs along the edge were removed as well. As I was doing that some of the old wh ite paint fell off and while I handled them to take pictures more of the paint flaked off. So be assure d that if you purch ase them there will be some paint chips in the shipping bo x. There are no repai rs or cracks. Just a lot of character. They are both marked H8. There is still plenty of rust on them. The part that would fit up against a wall is 18-1/2" and the part that would support a shelf board is about 10-1/2" I left some of the hardware on each and did not try to remove the bolts. Beautiful antique shelf brackets with a floral pattern. These are in very good condition. These were used to hold up shelves in my grandmother's kitchen for over fifty years.
