6 Vintage Restoration Hardware Coat Hooks Heavy Wire Screw In Black Paint
Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" This is a group of 6 vintage heavy wire screw in 2 hook coat hooks. All 6 of these hooks are in very good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or worn areas in the metal and there are no repairs. The hooks were all painted black at some point so they do show signs of natural wear and use with some paint loss, adn some have bits of other paint on them. One of the hooks needs to have the threaded screw straightened out a bit with a pair of pliers or gently force. The wire on each piece is 3/8” thick. The threaded screw in end is 7/8” long, and the large hook is 3" long and the smaller hook is 1 1/2" ... morelong. Each one measures 4” long from the tip of the threaded end to the tip of the curved hook, and they are about 3” from the bottom hook to the top side of the big hook. Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have– I am always happy to answer! This is a nice piece of antique hardware that probably was on a nice hall tree. Thiis piece measures approx 5.5 x 5 inches on the front; base is 1.5 inches diameter. And from the base with screw it measures 3 inches. It is made of cast iron nad had a bronze finish on it at one time, wtih swirls and decorations. There is no name or numbers I can find, light wear, paint missing as shown, but no significant damage. This auction is for a vintage lot of 8 matching brass plated heavy cast iron coat or hat hooks. On all hooks. The brass plating is worn and there is some surface rust where the plating has worn away with time and use. They are very heavy vintage hooks. Each hook weighs 3 ounces. That's 1.5 total pounds of cast iron. They are not made like that anymore. They are about 3" tall and would extend from a wall 3" Each hook has two 1/8" bore holes.
