Lot of 4 Graduated Cast Iron Hanging Hooks Coat School Barn Stable Small 3 - 4"
These 4 cast iron hanging hooks came from an auction in Vermont. They have alot of rust. On closer examination. Two seem to be the same size. These two measure 4" long, 1 5/8" wide, and 2 1/4" tall. The next size down measures 3 5/8" long, 1 1/2" wide, and 2 1/8" tall. The small hook measures 3 1/8" long, 1" wide, and 2" tall.

This is a set of 3 matc hing cast iron double hooks. They were purchased at a local estate sale. The hooks are in good condition. With no cracks or breaks. The re is rust and signs of age on the hooks. They w ere a 2 piece hook at one time. But only one hook comes apart now, the other 2 are rusted together. The hooks extend 4" from the wall and are 7" wide. The mounting bracket is 3 1/2" in length and 1 1/4" wid e. These are nice sturdy hooks. Please check the pics for the best description. Purchased from an architectural salvage many years ago, these were taken from a barn demolition in Jamesville, New York the name of which I cannot recall, but these were being used in a horse stable. Each one has 8- one inch hooks. They were originally painted/japanned black. But that finish is wearing and the original metal with some patina and rust is showing. They have many uses- in the barn with horse tack, in a shed or garage for tools, in the kitchen for pots or utensils, or any other organizing need. There is a very shallow crease or line on one long arm of a bracket– a minor flaw which occurred during the manufacturing process. With the bracket mounted on the wall and the row of cutouts on top. The crease mark is just after the second bump from the end and on the bottom piece of iron. The picture that shows this has the bracket with the mounting plate flat on the table and the row of cutouts on the right going straight up and down. The flaw is near the top. Each bracket is 10 7/8” along the length of the mounting plate and is 2” wide at the bottom and 3 7/8” wide at the round top. The cutout double arms reach out 12 1/8” from the mounting plate and are 1 7/8” wide on the outside. Each of the rounded cutouts are 7/8” wide. There is a pre-drilled hole at the bottom of the mounting plate and two open ended holes at the rounded top– they will accommodate a 1/4” screw.
