The likelihood of coming across another one like this is slim at best. I was told that this came out of a bank that was built in the early 1900s. They didn’t know if this was used as a coat rod or a foot rest at a large deposit slip table. I lean towards the foot rest because of no hanger marks. I actually bought this for myself in case I wanted to use it in ... moremy wine room somehow. This is in good condition with the normal dings and scratches but brass will polish up superbly if that’s the look you prefer. The one attachment end is stuck on and I left it that way because it would be in that position anyway for instillation. If it to long for your project you could always cut it to the size you need. This is about 61 ¾” long x about 1 ½” in diameter. I would guess this is from the early 1900s but surly no later than the 1940s. The shipping is high because of the weight and the size box that must be used but I’d have no problem if you wanted to pick it up to save on the shipping cost. Please take a look at the many other antique hardware items I have listed. My pictures are large because I not only want to tell you what you’re getting but also for you to see what you’re getting. Shabby Chic Cast Iron Brackets Circa 1909 Lot 1 Antique Vintage Decor
Up for bid. Is a Circa 1909 Shabby Chic Cast Iron Bracket. Its 1 1/4" wide, 4 3/4" high and 6 1/2" in length. It came from a salvage of a home in Fairmont, WV. The surface of this bracket has rust and chippy white paint. It hasn't been cleaned and in original condition. There is wear on this item, as seen in the photos. The 4 screws match the appearance of the bracket, uncleaned with traces of the original paint on it. Please review all photos before bidding. Thank you.
