The length of each nail including the top is approximately 2 1/2" long. I do not see any cracks. Chips or breaks on either glass? top. The metal surrounding the white swirl design has a beading around the edge. I think you can see it in pics# 3& 4. These are old picture nails and are not perfect. These would be a great addition to anyone's collection or would be great to use. I am not an expert so determine condition for yourself. Fabulous pair of antique art nouveau drapery tie backs/ brackets/holders. They each measure approx 12.5 inches of curved length. By 1 3/4 inches wide. The floral motif is raised/embossed?I do not know how they attach to the woodwork/wall.there is a 5/8 in raised square peg? on each back.reminds me of a cufflink! Structurally, I think they are in very good condition, but there is some dark spotting on the patina.on one more than the other. I dont think there is much/any pitting however. I thought they were for curtains- but then some of the screw holes should be on the other side to make it a"set" There is a marking in the inside 1 1/4 and then on the bar it reads, pat. applied" I cannot read a date. These would make great curtain rods, or repurposed into something new! The brackets measure 1 5/8 long, and if screwed into a wall the would stick out 1 3/4 inches. Buyer to pay s/h through Paypal. Here is a set of 2 ornate old hand rail brackets. They have the look and feel of cast iron; however. Because I'm not an expert, I cannot guarantee what they're made of. They both have surface rust and will get your hands dirty when you touch them. Both are marked"3 1/2" on the part that holds the rail. This is much clearer on one versus the other. The"3 1/2" is likely a reference to their size as the bases are 3 1/2 inches long. Both have the same ornate design. They have some wear as well as rust.
