The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Local Pick Up is best for this large. Beautiful and well taken care of item. It worries me to ship it as I have seen very few table such as this. However. This auction is for a neat older or vintage set of Nest Of Three(3) Tables from Scotland. This is a neat& unique. Along with being very, very pretty Nest of Tables. All of the tops have parquet Burled Walnut Tops. The wood grains of the Burl Walnut is Beautiful. All of the tables have cabriolet legs with"ball& claw" feet. All of the tables have carved corners and carved fronts. These are well made tables that have been around for quite a while. These ate not the 80's models that flooded the markets from import stores that were so cheaply made. These tables have solid walnut aprons annd legs. The aprons are attached to the tops with the older"flathead" screws. All of the table are in good condition without any rot or worm damage. The finish on each table is also still in good condition but not mint or excellent ... moreby any means. They would add interest& charm to any room. They Look Good stacked or you can set them around seperately, when needed. There will No Additional Charges added for shipping to any address in the Lower 48 States. The largest table is 20 5/8" X 14 5/8" and is 21 3/4" tall. The middle size table is 16 1/8" X 12 3/8" and 20 3/4" tall. The smallest table is 12 1/2" X 10 1/4" and 19 1/2" tall. I found these table parts under a bed in a house we bought. The bottom shelf would attach with screws from underneath screwed into the legs and then attach into a slot on the underside of the top. It has a scalloped or serpentine edge and legs with eagle talons wrapped around 1 1/4" diameter glass balls for feet. The balls are very secure& a few are worn on the bottom from use. Vintage Herendon 1950's( dining table with double ball and claw feet. Awesome wood working on feet. Table top has been refinished poorly and has a gouge in it. Sorry. It's how I found it. Should be refinished. It has a leaf but it has been messed up by a do it yourselfer. Not sure it can be fixed. An experienced wood worker would need to do it. It is a beautiful table dating from the 1940s. This came in on a recent load and it was all scratched. Nicked and dinged. It could not be polished to be sold. So we put it through our professional restoration shop to hand strip, sand, stain it a reddish brown mahogany color and put multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer. The table when closed is 60 inches long, 42 inches deep and 30 inches high. When you insert the 13 inch leaf it opens to be 73 inches long and will easily accommodate a set of 6 chairs around it. The round corner top has a dainty skirted trim underneath the top and the 13 inch leaf is also skirted so there is no ugly gap when the leaf is in the table. The table top sits upon two multi-turn vase type columns that have three cabriole carved ball and claw carved footed legs on each pedestal.
