The style was partly a reaction to baroque which George I loathed. As the century progressed. The style became lighter in terms of colours and decoration. ANTIQUE, RARE "MACKINTOSH" TABLE LAMP BASE~CIRCA 1920-1930"S
WELCOME TO MY EBAY SITE! OFFERED for SALE is a arts and crafts style antique. Rare and unusual"MACINTOSH" lamp base circa 1920-1930's. The verde green finish base stands 21 1/2" high with finial. 7" wide decorative platform and the harp has a 1" riser. The base has a cloth cord, antique plug and a bryant two light pull chain cluster; one click, the left socket comes on, two clicks, both sockets comes on, third click, the right bulb turns on and fourth click, is off. The top of the lamp where the light cluster begins has(3) small splits(refer to last picture) and has been like this since I purchased the base years ago. This is the only issue with the base. It is in very good condition. When I purchased the base from the previous owner. They also gave me what appears to be a"handel" type harp. I was told ... morethat this was the original harp but they removed it and replaced the existing harp so they could use a fabric shade. I am including the antique harp with the base. In my opinion. Antique, Hand Inlaid Mosaic Syrian Game Table, Circa 1920
The traditional art of Syria going back many centuries. Where every piece is hand inlaid creating a beautiful Mosaic design, embellished with mother of pearl. Circa 1920. Large profusely inlaid Syrian games table, the top with multiple geometric and asymmetric inlays of various woods and mother of pearl. The deep top opens to reveal similarly inlaid interior and a section with a hinged centre which lifts to reveal a chess and a backgammon table and like the outside is profusely inlaid. Table is multi functional. Can be use as a beautiful console table, backgammon, chess/checkers, and has a felt lined side for card games. Game pieces are not included. Game piece box included. approx 24" wide. 28" tall, 12" deep. Top is damaged as shown in last picture. Item is an antique and shows minor signs of use other than the top.

Antique ''radio' table from the 20's- gorgeous. Circa 1920 wood, carved
I got this at an antique store a few years ago for $250. But since then I've accumulated six antique tables. I am moving in the next few months and really need to downsize. So, the more'recent' tables gotta go. This is from the 20s and is called a'radio' table. I guess b/c they made nice tables to set your radio on. They are made more sturdy with the bar running underneath b/t the legs. Beautiful carvings and wood inlays on top and it has a very unique style of'bar' underneath the table. I'm not sure what kind of wood this is. Definitely an unusual piece with a lot of beauty. I've gotten many compliments on it. as you can see it's not in perfect condition but it is in very good shape for its age. By design. I left nicks, dings, veneer chips, and character marks in the wood prior to restoration. You can see the beautiful chestnut colors show through the hand rub distressed black finish. I sealed the black with hand rubbed varnish as a glaze to provide a special depth and beauty. The table dates from Circa 1920.the Kiel company operated their second plant in Milwaukee. Wisconsin.the branded makers mark is on the underside of the top ... moreThe legs& stretcher/rails were originally made to be removable. The entire leg/stretcher rail assembly was carefully taken apart and restored by gluing/clamping and screwing everything in place making it non-removable, the table is now rock solid, it was very wiggly-jiggly prior to restoration. There was no need for the sides/legs to be removable, so I chose to make it much more solid I love the original trim around the edges of the top. It has great details The top is made from a 4 way matched(4 pieces of veneer matched together)walnut burl veneer.I hand rubbed 10 coats of varnish to achieve the incredible luster and depth which showcases the walnut wood.there are small natural cracks& a few tiny dings in the center of the top burled area.all character is consistent with its age. That is what makes it a beautiful antique The medallions on the ends. Sides& legs are made from Bakelite(original resin) or Bakelite type material. The medallions have some cracks and one of the round medallions has its lower portion missing(last photo) I chose to leave these issues as character marks for the custom distressed finish The 6 original finials on the side skirts were miss

Vintage French Provincial Side End Table Circa 1920-1930 Queen Anne Cabriole Leg
This French provincial side/end table was made between 1920-1930. It has the cabriole style legs and this style is very reminiscent of the 1920's period. Very well constructed. It does have some scuffs and scratches due to it's vintage age. See pics. It has some watermarks on one of the legs that was there when previous owner bought it back in the 1950s. From our grandmother's estate this Duncan Phyfe style side table is gorgeous with a rich mahogany finish. We have gently cleaned it. However due to excellent care over the years it still has the original finish. There are small knicks as would be expected from a piece of this age and with close inspection there is a light scratch on top(see close up pic) however it appears that may be removed with refinishing. However it is not easy to see and refinishing is not necessary with this piece. Beautiful lyre base with brass claw feet. Measures 24"W x 17" L x 27" H. Circa 1920's Bausch & Lomb Optician's Milk Glass Table with Adj. Cast Iron Base
Love the cast iron base of this 1920's Bausch& Lomb optician's table! The milk glass top is cracked- the good news is that the pieces of milk glass aren't moving anywhere and still form a flat surface to make a sturdy table. The frame around the milk glass is wood and has its original black paint. The paint is worn. The black cast iron base is sturdy and solid as a rock and is easily adjustable with the turn of the wheel. There is a small amount of rust on the very end of each leg. Use as is or add your own special top to this great base. One side of the table is hallmarked with"B& L" inside anupside down triangle. The bottom of the table is marked"Bausch& Lomb Optical Co.
