Adorable Antique c1880 Intact English Bamboo Display or Plant Stand Xlnt Condit
Absolutely adorable authentic Victorian display stand(c 1880) in great condition. There are a couple of splits in the bamboo legs(see photo 4 and 8) but they are stable and not wobbly or coming un-done. This piece is probably English. Marked by the smoked tortoiseshell effect on the legs of real bamboo. There are a couple of things that make this piece quite remarkable: First. Its diminuative size. It stands 9 1/2" tall. The tabletop measures 10 3/8" x 9 1/2" Secondly, the fact that the woven and stenciled matting on the top of the stand are completely original and without blemish! More sophisticated pieces would have had a lacquered face to the top. But, we want to stress how unusual it it to find the more fragile matting material intact. And to have stenciling on it that hasn't been ruined by water damage makes this just ... morea great find! Being good stewards of beautiful household items from the past, we would emphasize the care you should exhibit with this delicious bit of Victoriana. Please don't plop a plant down on it that's going to leak all over it and ruin its beautiful state. A small vignette of objets d'art, a handsome bust or other decorative item sitting on display would be more suitable companions. If you might put candles on it, place a pretty piece of fabric on the matting that will match your decor and protect its surface. You'll notice in the second photo that the bamboo that trims the edge of the tabletop is a bit short at each end. While the restoration process removes or minimizes imperfections. Subtle signs of its age and use remain. Antique Victorian Bamboo Plant/Stand/Table with Signed Veneer
Please note. This listing is for two separate items: a bamboo/oak table and a signed printed veneer work of art. I have listed them together because the veneer could be used to resurface the table top. Here’s an outstanding Victorian burnt bamboo table or plant stand. It is being sold with a beautiful painted wood veneer that could be used to resurface the top of the table. It is not attached to the table and could be framed to use as a separate piece. I was going to cut the veneer and glue it to the tabletop but I ran out of time. The table is in great condition except for the circular burn mark on the top(see photos) All the bamboo has the great variegated pattern and the patina that can only be acquired over many years. It’s not in mint condition. But you wouldn’t expect it to be since it is probably from the Victorian period. The table ... moretop(looks like oak) is a bit uneven where two pieces of wood join. I use it just as it is with a small tablecloth to hide the burn mark. I think the veneer would look great as the tabletop, though. It would fit well except that it might lose the tops of the iris leaves. The painted veneer is actually signed by Lindley Briggs and is a limited print 154/370, dated 1984. The measurements are approximately: 28 1/2” high. The table top is 18" x 18" and the bottom sh elf is 14” x 14" This is a great looking classic piece and would be even more unique with the veneer attached to the top. I have a very old 1800's to early 1900's Antique Cast Iron Table/ Plant Stand with Claw Feet. This stand is approximately 26 inches tall and 11 inches round. Put a piece of round plate glass to make a table or a plant stand. There is a crack in the top ring. But this stand is made so heavy that the crack is almost unnoticeable. This is an incredible old table I have never seen anything quite like this before. It is 30” tall the top is 17 ¼” in diameter. It has a heavy cast iron base with a round metal table top. The ornate base is 15” across the bottom with 2 decorative curved iron legs and a third iron leg in the design of a flower vase complete with metal flowers that appear to be tulips combined with pointed leaves and a cattail type plant as well. The metal top is scalloped around the edge in a leaf design. I’m was told that this dates from the 1930's. It sits level and firmly on the floor and the top is firmly attached to the base with screws. The floral work is all intact with a few tiny bends in the leaves and flowers but otherwise there is no damage only a lot of age. It may have been a different color at one time but it is all white with lots of ... morechipping paint. It could be easily repainted any color along with painting each individual flower for a true piece of art. But I have left this as I found it. This would look perfect with any décor. Vintage Round Italian MARBLE Table Top Weighs over 50 lbs. ~ 29-1/2" Diameter ~ 7/8" Thick Up for your consideration is this Vintage Marble Table Top marked Italy on the bottom. The diameter measures 29-1/2" but I believe they call this a 30" table top. It was probably used on a plant stand or some type of table. The finish is flat or matte and it has signs of use over the years that gives it an aged patina look. It is in as found condition and I have not attempted to clean it. There are some rust colored marks as shown in the pictures. There is also some flaking here and there. The marks probably come from being exposed to water over the years. It is marked"Italy" on the bottom. Overall. This is a nice antique marble top expressing the popular method of the early 1900's era of protecting wood furniture from ... morewater and other damage. Antique Pedestal Plant Stand*Smokers Table* by Jamestown Fancy Furniture Co.
Up for bid is this beautiful pedestal table made by Jamestown Fancy Furniture back in the early 1900's. From the information I could find on that company they specialized in smaller furniture pieces including smokers stands. Plant stands, magazine stands, etc. The table measurements are approximately 23 1/2" tall and the top 11 1/2" in diameter and the base 10 1/2" in diameter. I am not positive of the type of wood used but the grain is very pretty. There seems there might be two different woods used for the top/bottom and the pedestal. I'm not an expert but the grains to me look of two different types? I am not sure if the table top or bottom base is solid of that type of wood or if it is wood veneered with that over another type of wood. It seems to be veneered on the bottom sides of the table top and table bottom ... moreas there are two places on the bottom side of the table top where the top layer of an over layer(veneering) has come off at sometime in the past. This is underneath and not noticeable on the top side of the table! I also noted that there is a small area of that veneered bottom layer that appears to be a bit wavy, ever slightly and there are a couple of dabs of something that I had originally thought to be old finish drips. please see pics) There are two spots at the top of the table which I believe are the nail holes for attaching the top to the pedestal. The bottom is attached by a wing nut. see pics) I put Jacobean as the style, I do hope that would be the correct choice on my part! Whatever the case it's a very nice piece. Please look pics over as they are part of the description. Please note: I am not a professional furniture refinisher/restorer and that this pedestal table is an antique and I am also not an antique expert. This piece does show nicks. Dents, scratches and wear consistent with age, use and the fact of it's unknown history. What I have done to this table to clean it up is I have removed years of build up with"Formby's Furniture Restorer"

The three sided table has curved or rounded sides. Each side has a lovely draped center with the shell stencil above. The top repeats with three stenciled scallop shells. The stenci has a variegated green from a yellowish or chartreuse green in the center to a deep forest green on the outside as the shell ripples out. There are metallic gold bands of decoration both on the tops and sides to highlight the silhouette of the piece. The wood appears to be mahogany to me with a rich deep reddish and tone with a natural sheen. BUT please email me if I need to update/correct the listing ... moreon the type of wood. The underside of the piece shows a stamp that I can only read"DEC" with the other large mark appearing to be"237" as well there is also another mark or stamp that I cannot make out. The plant or fern stand or table stands 18 3/4 inches tall or high and 13 3/8 inches in diameter across the top of the table from the corner across. Very solid construction! Very heavy little piece! Underside shows metal pieces that anchor the tops to the side with one of the six pieces missing but that does not affect the integrity of the construction whatsoever. Original patina as shown! with table top showing a center darkened wear mark. There is also a lighter ring and a variety of spots.none of which that I have tried to clean whatsoever. Unusual Collectable Antique Folding Table or Plant Stand
This Unique Folding table is highly distressed and relic due to its age. I believe it is made of oak. The oval table top measures about 16" in the long dimension and the height of the table is about 30" high. This item could make a great restoration project or leave it as is. It is so unusual it looks great in any setting. We have owned this a long time and are listing it here on eBay because we finally found a suitable box for safe shipping. The table is missing a bracket so I had to make the thin plywood support so it would stand. Creating a new wood slide-lock to support the table should be easy. Original Rare Antique Metal 3 Tier Plant Patio Stand Table Beautiful 15sh
I am listing my rare antique plant or patio stand. It is all original with no repairs. It appears it could be used to hold three tiers of plants in the basket like shelves or just to sit on the patio or in the house for a stand or table. It measures 14" wide by 24" tall. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BRASS & MARBLE TABLE/PEDESTAL/ PLANT STAND
Beautiful antique Victorian brass& marble table. Pedestal/ plant stand. Coloration and pattern of the antique marble is gorgeous. Both pieces are free of any cracks or chips, which is unusual for marble this old. The brass is a beautiful buttery gold color and has a lovely shine to it. The lacy designs on the bases that hold the marble pieces are gorgeous accents to offset the marble. The legs are curvy and end with ornate decorative bases for the feet. One of the small decorative pieces is missing where the center marble base attaches to the leg, see last pic) This is not at all noticeable when against a wall. You could easily have a replacement piece made by a company in Georgia that I deal with, should you be interested. Fine Barley Twist Mahogany Pedestal / Plant Stand - 53" Tall
This is a gorgeous tall barley twist pedestal/ stand. It is made of wood(mahogany. I believe) and has a nice, rich, dark stain. It is in excellent condition. I have had it for about 20 years. Over the years it has showcased ginger jars. Bronzes(like the ones in the pictures) and plants(especially ferns) It looks great in a corner. Whether you have traditional furniture– American. French or English- or shabby chic/contemporary/modern, this piece is a beautiful accent. The pedestal is 53” high and the top is 12” wide. The large antique Dutch Delft ginger jar is also for sale.
