I purchased this bookcase in July of 1992 from the SCIOTO RIVER ANTIQUES store in Mt. Victory. Ohio for $525, and I have the original sales slip and the receipt from my credit card as provenance. I am selling it because I am now retiring to the Philippines, and it is too expensive to ship it. The bookcase is circa 1920's.

Antique bookcase with two glass doors and adjustible shelves from early 20th cen
I am selling an solid wood antique book case with carved claw feet. It was my grandmother's and was given to me when she passed away. I love this bookcase but I have no where to keep it and it has been sitting in storage since it was given to me. It is probably mahogany but maybe walnut. It is has two glass doors and locks. I should have the key. It has cast iron spoon shaped shelf pins which from what I have researched are from the early 1900's. There is a ding on the outside of the right door which is visible in the pictures and it is missing the door pull but is in good condition given its age. It would look absolutely stunning if refinished. It has beautiful carved details both on the doors and on the feet. Really a very lovely piece. Complete piece with all windows in good working order. Pictures are meant to show the top section removed and the sliding glass mechanism in the open and closed position. Stack contains 4 sections with a top and bottom section and there are no significant nicks or scratches in the wood. Vintage 1950s 1960s Tomado metal book shelf shelving unused 2 sets bookcase Two sets of Tomado vintage book shelves from the 1950s or 1960s. In excellent unused condition and still in their original packaging. Both the shelves and brackets are made of metal. There are also six bookends to hold the books in place. The shelves are in shades of red. Green and cream. The brackets and bookends are black. The depth of the shelves is 12 cms and the length is 48 cms(5 ins x 19 ins) The brackets are 54 cms tall(just over 21 ins) Very simple assembly. The shelves just slide into slots on the brackets. The original screws in their packets are also present to attach the shelves to the wall. The boxes show signs of age but the contents are in excellent order. Up for consideration is a pair of maple Bookcase cabinets with adjustable shelves. Please note one bookcase is about 4 1/4 inches wider than the other. These were probably architectural pieces that were finished on the back so that they can be used free standing. They both measure 52 1/2 inches tall with an overall depth of 13 1/2 inches at the top but 11 1/2 deep at the body. One piece 45 1/2 wide whereas the other is 40 3/4 inches wide. They have 3 or 4 shelves each of which the shelves can be adjusted. These pieces are extremely heavy as maple is very dense and durable.
