Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 12 deep, and 57.5 high. I don't think you will find a nicer four stack unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. I have spent endless hours locating a source for these knobs. This auction is for 2(two) AGED/BURNISHED) base knobs. Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. The aging and burnish process takes a 5 step process and can be hazardous to perform. The aging/burnishing is done at essentially cost. See our ad for Aging Solution. If you want the knobs polished it is an additional please see the other ad. Famous Maker 3 SECTIONS SOLID OAK Offered is a nice Mission Oak bookcase with lift-up and slide-in glass doors which are all in working condition. Each section is marked with the Macey trade mark. It is solid and sturdy. It stands evenly on the floor. The windows have antique wavy glass and there are NO breaks. The sections are graduated in size(9" 11" 13" this is a nice feature for storing different size books. Sections are interchangeable allowing for larger books on top or on the bottom. The buyer can take this bookcase home& use it. I can't say how long we have had these bookcases but can say they are a quality set and will have a major effect on a room when it comes to decorating. The bookcase has a removable top lid or crown, 3 stackable sections with glass doors, and a base. The first pictures were taken in natural room light and show the bookcase in as close to original color as possible, if the photos seem a little blurry it's because we used the night setting on the camera. The brighter photos were taken with a flash. The bookcase is all original& retains all original parts, glass, knobs, sections. The condition is above average to better. It does need a polishing but that is minor. There are minor surface rub marks& use marks. There are no structural problems, the top lid's surface is solid wood& not the usual veneer, the wood is quartered oak(what ever that is) and shows a lot of grain through-out the cabinet& doors. There are no repairs. Buyers are welcome to see the bookcase before purchase, we are 75 miles north of NYC& located between Albany-Binghamtom-NYC. MEASUREMENTS: The bookcase is 50 1/4 inches tall by 34 1/2 inches wide. The sections are graduated and may be interchanged. The individual sections are 9" 11" 13"

Here you are bidding on an"Antique Macey's Oak Barrister/Lawyers 5 Section Bookcase" This is a real beauty. It consists of four shelf sections and a fifth crown top. It has the metal strappings on its sides. Two sections are 10 inch and two are 12 inch. The glass doors open and close properly. It has the Macey's logo on one of the sections. It is 49 inches high x 12 inches deep x 34 inches wide. The finish is really nice with the exception of a few stains on its top. There are two knobs missing. Beautiful early 1900"s Lawyers barrister bookcase. Come apart into 7 sections. This bookcase is 73 1/2 inches tall. 34 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches deep. It has lovely tiger quartersawn oak grain with a waterfall contour top and base. All antique wavy glass and all brass knobs and straps. All doors have hardware and open with ease. This bookcase is very clean and has age appropriate wear. Top has a spot in corner with light lifting. Took photo, not bad. This bookcase is very tall and sturdy. Paypal and local pick up only. Here is a single stacking barrister bookcase top section dating from the Mission. Arts& Crafts era. Made of quarter sawn oak and is marked Macey 98(see pics) The original hardware is all intact and the door works fine, glass not cracked. Total measurement(including top piece) is 34" long x 12" wide x 14 1/4" high. This Macey tiger quartered oak doublewide(barrister) 5-stack bookcase with wooden panes(panels) is a fantastic piece. In great working order; all door mechanics functioning. Ca 1900-1920. Stamped Macey(Fred Macey Mfg Co) Very good to excellent overall condition nicely aged patina inside and out early dark finish and door glass looks to be all original. The close up photos provide extent of wear. But the four photos from 3 to 6 feet of the entire piece and both sides give an idea of the overall appeal. Two small bottom door knobs not original. Top has scratches/scuffs. The bottom legs have dings and normal wear to the finish. Massive 7 Part Antique Quartersawn Oak Sectional Bookcase Globe Wernicke Macey Massive 7 Part Antique Quartersawn Oak Sectional Bookcase. It has 5 main section- 4 are the normal style with top sliding glass door and 1 is a 2 door cabinet style plus the matching original top and base sections. I found some numbers and markings. I am fairly certain it is Globe Wernicke, possible Library Bureau or another famous maker from the 1910 era. The unique thing about this set is the size- by far the largest size sectional bookcase we have ever seen. The sections all measures 33" long which is about the normal length but they are all 17" wide and 13" high- much larger than most for those dimensions. It will need some attention and hopefully minor fixing- some of the internal hardware pieces are missing and the scissors and slides will ... moreneed some adjusting. The sections are all in good, solid condition with no cracks or major damage, a few spots of edge chipping to the quartersawn oak veneer but over not bad. All the original knobs are present. The top is fine and solid with a couple ring marks where some previous owner probably had placed a potted plant but I really think these would polish up fine. The base is intact and solid but the finish is very worn, the best thing we can say for the base is it does the job. My 17 photos should show you a fine example of what is being offered. Guaranteed a genuine classic 1910 era sectional elastic barrister bookcase in the desirable quartersawn oak. We are asking for local pickup as this would be very difficult and expensive to ship; I can take it to a local shipping store who offers UPS Ground professional packing and shipping but please be aware it would be very costly with 6 huge boxes. Very nice looking all original early 1900's Macey 3 stack barristers bookcase. This one is in very good condition with all original wavy glass and great looking tiger oak. Dimensions are 57H X 34W X 14 D. A few minor imperfections such as the hole thru the back of one of the units.It won't be noticeable when you put books in in though and a small chip of wood missing out of the corner of the bottom unit. This Victorian oak bookcase is made of four sections. Each stacks on top of one another and locks in for a strong fit. This bookcase was made from solid American oak and measures 59 inches high, 34 and one half inches wide, 9 and one have inches deep at three sections and 14 and one half inches deep at the bottom section. Antique Oak Macey 8" Barrister Bookcase Section w/ Leaded Glass
Up for sale is an antique Macey Bookcase section from Circa 1910. It has leaded glass and is all original. The dimentions are 11" tall(roughly 8.5" inches for interior book room) 33.5" wide, and 11.5" Deep. Similar to a Globe Wernicke D-8 section, but not quite compatible if stacked with a Globe Wernicke due to a slight difference in how the top of the doors are made. The"Macey" stenciling exists inside of the bookcase, along with"98. Condition: All original. In very good condition. Original finish and glass. The finish is slightly alligatored, but the quarter-sawn oak still shines through nicely. The leaded glass has a crack on one of the larger panes, as well as one of the small triangels. There's a couple spots of flaking to the leadwork(see picks, lighter spots. There is a section of green paint ... moreon the back of the bookcase and the very back of the copper band where it folds around the back. That's it- all mechanisms original and work nicely. Shipping: No wrapping charge as I have the packing materials. I will remove the door and wrap that between two pieces of styrofoam to prevent the glass from bending inward during transit(old leadwork not reinforced and protected during transit is bad) Shipping will be via FedEx ground to the lower 48 USA only. This beautiful piece is all original as far as I can determine and in almost perfect condition(missing 4 knob pulls) This cabinet consists of five separate parts. Three bookcases. A top and a base. All parts are in perfect working condition. Even the original'Macey' label is present. Refinished and hand-rubbed for a lifetime with tung oil over 35 years ago and used daily. All sections are in great condition and the doors slide easily in and out. One section has the original Macey label on it that reads(No. 49. Finish 57. The ... morebookcase sections are even complete with"original" wavy-bubble glass imperfections that was standard for glass made in and around the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Dimensions are 51 1/4" H X 33 3/4" L X 11 1/2 W. The inside dimensions of the no. 1& 3 book sections are 32 1/2" L x 12 1/2" H x 10" D. The no. 2 book section inside dimensions are the same except the height is 9"H.
