It is made of quartered oak with an antique oak finish and brass hardware. ... moreThe gold"Globe" stenciling still remains on the top of the unit. The dimentions are 18' deep. 17.5 wide and 31.5' tall. It is fully functional and the file cabinet unit and the card catalog drawers work as intended with the original hardware remaining. Condition: Good original condition with the usual age related scratches and blemishes to the finish. There is dark staining and a little rippling to the veneer on the top. Most of the finish is definately originial. But I'm really not sure if the sides of the file cabinet unit have been refinished at some point. They have the same type of wear as the rest of the unit, but are noticibly lighter than the patina on the rest of the pieces. The brass side bands have oxidation on parts of them. Shipping: Good news.I have all the packing materials and therefore will not charge a wrapping fee. Bad news.this is a heavy piece. About 60 lbs all packaged up so will be expensive to ship. I will ship in one or two boxes 24' by 24' to be able to pad it accordingly and make sure it gets to you undamaged. Shipping will be via FedEx ground. Made of quarter sawn oak and is marked Macey 98(see pics) The original hardware is all intact and the door works fine, glass not cracked. Oak Barrister or Stacking Bookcase Replacement Door With Glass Trim , No Reserve
This door will fit most standard larger sized stacking bookcase section. The outside dimensions are 32-1/2" wide X 14" high. It is made from 3/4" thick cabinet grade oak. Custom made by a cabinet maker for restoration of an antique barrister type stacking bookcase but was never used. These replacement doors are hard to find in usable condition. Especially in this larger size. With a little stain and finish it will be ready to go in your antique bookcase. Also included but not pictured is the trim that holds the glass in place. No glass or hardware included and door may need some minor alterations to fit your model bookcase. Offered at no reserve and buyer pays actual UPS Ground shipping cost.

Oak Stacking Barrister Bookcase by Mayer & Thaheimer 75" Tall Wavy Glass Nice
This is a vintage Mayer& Thalheimer of Baltimore Stacking Barristers Bookcase. It measures 75 3/8" Tall-34" Wide-9 1/2" Deep. It will accommodate a 10 1/2" tall book. Four of the Five sections have the original wavy glass. The center ones glass has been replaced at some point. The bottom section has a different Mayer& Thalheimer tag than the top sections and has a different coloration on the back as you can see so it may be a marriage though it fits perfectly. Condition is very good. I've enjoyed it for many years but am moving to a smaller home and don't have a place for it. I'm not offering shipping but can be accommodating on working out delivery.

Antique Globe Wernicke 6-Stack 299 Grade Oak Stacking Lawyers Barrister Bookcase
Up for bid is a wonderful 6-stack Globe Wernicke lawyers or barristers bookcase made of quartersawn oak. All sections are the very desirable Grade 299(quarter sawn/tiger oak with the medium finish) Has the very desirable ogee(curved) top and bottom. All sections are size D-10 1/4. Bookcase is ALL ORIGINAL. Original finish. Original wavy glass, original knobs on the doors. Bookcase is ALL COMPLETE. All labels are present and intact. All glass is present(no cracks or breaks) All felt along the tops of the doors is complete and intact. All scissors mechanisms are present. All acid-etched side bands are correct and present. I rescued over 20 sections from a storage room of an old Chicago school library, and these 6 sections were in the best condition. Condition of the sections is way above average for their age. After 100 years the finish on ... morethese cases has usually"alligatored" Not here. Although there are the usual scratches and chips in the finish, which is to be expected(there is a rub of white paint on the right side of one section shown in the photos) the outside finish is overall extremely smooth with a nice gloss. The very top has the most wear and scratches as the librarians slid and stacked items on top of the cases. There is also the reside from 2 old pieces of cellophane tape on the front of the top. I can find no delamination of the back panels, nor any bubbling of the veneer on the very top. Being in a library for so many years has preserved them nicely. Overall size of the bookcase is 84" tall x 34" wide x 12" deep. If you need more photos. Or have additional questions, please email me.
