I have seen it advertised as Mastercraft ... moreor Ello; not sure which maker it is. Definitely a great and rare piece of furniture. It measures 30 1/4" tall x 51 3/4" wide x 20 1/4" deep. This piece has a mirrored top and mirrored drawer fronts and the sides are made of brass/brass clad(sheets of brass over inner material) Interior/body appears to be wood with a white formica or lacquer surface. Good vintage condition. Several small dents in the metal and a few surface scratches(most notable on the top left side/will probably buff out a bit) Not mint but displays very nicely. There is a small spot of lost silvering on the top but overall mirrored areas looks very nice. May also be minor loss to the silvering on the edges of the mirrors on the front but these display nicely as well. There are small markings in pencil inside the drawers noting their location. Some of the metal strips on top of the drawers are loose and may need to be secured with adhesive. This auction is for the actual item(s) as pictured. I find all of my items at estate sales and antique stores. I do not repair any items or do anything other than a light cleaning and dusting. All items are sold as-found. Item Description: Up for purchase is this HUGE vintage 78” long all OAK 9 drawer Dresser/Commode produced by RomWeber in the Mid Century. They are known for their high level of old-world craftsmanship, and this piece is completely evident. The cabinet piece weighs close to 300 lbs with the curved front drawers in it and the mirror another 50 lbs. Refinished and offered on 1st Dibs or placed through and East/West Coast Interior Decorator. This would be a $6,500 ensemble. This is NOT a piece which started out at white. And has faded or been smoked around, it retains its original finish which is marked on the back side as“Golden Glo 120” It’s an AMAZING piece and would be appropriate for a grand home both in the master suite. Or even in the dining room or a large hall/ parlor. All angles of this piece has rounded elements to it. Including each ... moreend, all nine drawers, each of which was fashioned out of one piece of solid wood, not layers of veneer, again QUALITY craftsmanship! It will need to be refinished as there are surface scratches on different areas. But none which dig into the actual wood. I used a photo of myself setting on it as an example to show comparison and impact of how oversized it is. The all wood carved frame mirror is currently shown on two rods; however it does have wall-mount brackets on the back. Frame of mirror needs refinished. But glass mirror itself is fine. This is a piece I could see a decorator putting their finishing touch on by having it refinished in a fashionable lacquer color to use in an install. Both pieces go with the auction. The drawers are fully dovetailed and blocked. With dust panels between the drawers. The top of the dresser has parquetry block banding and is a fruitwood, possibly pecan with burl wood veneer fronts on the drawers. The original brass pulls have aged and the patina is a light bronze color. The mirror has matching burl wood inset and can be positioned on the dresser as desired: in the middle, or on either side. The mirror hardware includes 2 metal supports with 6 brackets and screws. The dresser measures 70" long x 20" deep x 32" high and the mirror measures 31 1/2" wide x 45" high. The mirror is top quality with dark walnut wood. The mirror measures 44" tall and it is 26" wide. It is in excellent condition with no damage. On inspection there is a bit of very fine paint splatter on one side which could easily be removed. The mirror comes with brackets for use on a dresser. This is a beautiful and very rare circa 1950's Heywood Wakefield triple dresser with matching mirror and center fold down dressing butler drawer. It measures 64" wide. 19" deep and 32" high. The mirror measures 52.5" wide and 36.5" tall. The cabinet is stamped with the Heywood Wakefield logo and is stamped Toast on the back. It is in very good condition with some general wear to the edges, there is a small water stain in the front left corner of the top and some rub wear to the lower right edge in front of the leg(see closeups) It has very nice solid brass ball pulls with white backing washers, two of the pulls and three of the white backers are missing. This was the most expensive dresser you could buy for a bedroom in America in the mid Century. Built extremely well of good solid wood construction with dovetails and burnished brass handles. French Provincial Dresser with 9 drawers by Drexel in the Tourraine collection. The dresser is Ivory with gold trim. Great details. Top of their line with the most sought after mirror. Lots of storage in a six foot(72 inch) long dresser. The height is 32 1/2 inches and the depth is 21 inches at the widest. The Mirror is 50 inches x 39 inches and has amazing details with a scalloped trim. The mirror is fastened to the dresser with screws so it is secure. The top drawer on the left side is divided with a gentleman's tray for change. Wallet and jewelry such as tie clasp and watch. The middle drawers are 13 1/2 inches inside width and the longer drawers ... moreare 23 1/2 inches inside width. This is a LOT of storage and quite the statement piece. I used it in a guest room with a dresser scarf because it is in great shape with the exception of marks, stains and wear on the top surface.
