It has dainty brass handle hardware which I am not sure are original. The keyhole escutcheon are the big round medallions. The candle shelves have heavy incise carved burl front shelf supports, burl walnut trim going up the mirror and the big crest on top with a doorbell looking medallion on the top. Elegant Teak 7-Drawer Dresser Danish Modern High Boy, Bow Front, Seattle
Up for sale here is an artisan-made chest of drawers(also called a dresser or high boy) It is made of teak. Teak-veneer plywood, and a lighter-colored wood for the drawer sides; no particle board. The lines are clean and simple, in the Scandinavian/ Danish Modern style. There is no maker's mark; given the quality of construction, I think it was custom-made. It came out of an affluent estate sale here in Seattle several years ago. The drawer joints are all dove-tailed-see the pictures for details on interior construction and materials used. It has a bowed front. And the veneer on the curved drawer fronts is carefully matched. The top drawer has wood dividers and a lock(no key, but you could get a replacement at the locksmith) The drawers slide in and out easily. With seven drawers in a dresser of this size, that means the drawers are fairly ... moreshallow-excellent for shirts, lingerie. Its condition is solid as a rock. Beautiful finish and well-matched wood grain. The only condition issues are a few scratches on the top, and around the most-used drawer pulls, plus a few tiny chips out of the veneer on the bottom of the front skirt(see photos) I've loved living with this dresser and highly recommend it to you. Solid wood with beautiful walnut veneers sitting on danish style legs. One owner piece that comes with a large mirror. Mirror: 31.75" 42.5" Shows to be in very good condition and I can tell you. Very heavy. We moved the piece only after we took out the drawers. Shows a little surface wear with minor scratches and little wear to the legs. The color is darker than most of the photos and much darker than the photos when the flash was used. A very fine piece of furniture that was well cared for. Help yourself.
