This is a very nice pair of carved and fluted 1890's Victorian walnut brackets or corbels. They measure 6" high x 3 3/4" deep at the top and are 1 1/2" wide. The original finish has been removed. Large Pair of Cast Iron Victorian Shelf Brackets. Measuring 13"d x 14"h x 2"w( widest part) Each Bracket has a larger Bird in flight on the top of the scroll work, and a similar smaller Bird on the bottom. The iron is unpainted, with surface rust-which I find creates a very appealing patina. The only structural damage is to one bracket: the bottom 3/4" is missing, as well as most of the bottom hole. The remaining 2 holes used to secure the bracket to the wall, and all the holes used to secure the shelf; as well as all of the holes on the second bracket, are there and in good condition. The scroll work is not missing or damaged on either bracket. The birds and the size of these brackets make them a very unique and appealing architectural accent to your home decor.

I am downsizing and cleaning out my barn and these brackets have been sitting on a beam for at least 48 years. They are currently painted with a black paint but may have another color under it. Pair Antique 19th C Victorian Bronze Face Figural Architectural Wall Hooks
This is a wonderful pair of antique 19th century Victorian bronze figural face architectural wall hooks. They date circa 1880s or 1890s. Each is 6 3/4 inches long(17.15 cm) The bronze portion alone is 5 inches on each(12.7 cm) and the screw piece is 1 3/4 inches(4.45 cm) Your initial reaction may be that they're gargoyles. But they're actually a man's face. The detail on them is incredible. The hat's are so cool looking. As a result of my research. I found that these originally had gold gilt finishes. Most of the gold gilt finish has worn off, but some does remain. The screw sections are made of iron and have surface rust. But they're both very sturdy. One screw however, is crooked(please see photos) Each has great old green tarnish in between the crevices. This really adds to their look!
