This Victorian-look. Shabby, cast iron plant hanger is really a cool-looking old piece. If you like having something totally unique-looking. As well as a"one-of-a-kind" type antique item, this listing is definitely for you! As displayed in my pictures. There is a detailed cast-iron bird perched on the frame work of the piece. I tried to capture the etched detail-work on the wings and the bird's head and beak for you in my pictures. There are two screw holes on the flat base plate. Not sure of the size screw you will need. None included with this item. The decorative. Screwed-on, attached flat bracket/base plate measures about 13" tall by ... moreabout 2 1/2" wide. This is a heavy. Sturdy piece, weighing in at about 2 pounds, so you will need to use heavy duty screws to attach it to your house, back yard fence, or other flat surface. I imagine you could also use this item as a bird feeder hook. The distance out from the flat bracket piece to the end of the curled hook shape is about 12" Arm does not swing. As cast iron outdoor antiques go. There is a bit of minor surface rust on this old piece. If this shabby. Original color, antique white look is not exactly to your liking, I am sure that the cast iron white paint finish can more than likely be easily touched up with rust-proof spray paint. For the DIY person drooling over the shabby looks of this old hanger. This is a fantastic find for you! The original white/cream paint could be easily brought back to life with a little old-fashioned elbow-grease, some steel wool, and the paint color(s) of your choosing. It’s in good solid condition with some old paint along with an aged darkened pitted rusted surface. Originally this would have had a galvanized or copper flashed finish but that is almost completely worn off. All my hooks are left with the authentic aged appearance that comes from many years of the natural weathering of them. The only thing I do ... moreto my hooks is remove some of the old paint and oil them. This was used as wash line tie off. But I’ve found this type also being used in many ways in and around farms and homes from porch swing hooks and plant hangers. The hook would extend out about 2” and its base is about 2 ¼” x 1” Now I’m sure you can find a way to use a good solid strong hook around your home. This has had a wipe down with an oiled rag. Heavy duty and made to hold most anything around the home or farm. Why buy a cheap import when you can own an American antique that will do the job better. Cast Iron Eastlake Screw in Mount Fancy Plant Hanger Hook
This is an Eastlake cast iron plant hook in very good condition. It mounts into the wall by screwing in directly. Excluding the screw it is 8 7/8" long. The screw portion is 1 3/4" long. The hook is 1" deep. This hook has some surface rust in places that would be cleanable or it could be left for a shabby style look. There is no damage at all.

Up for auction is this fabulous antique Victorian/Eastlake cast iron. Ornately detailed, plant hanger hook. This is a heavy solid piece- beautifully made. The metal is completely sound, no cracks, breaks or repairs. It was designed to pivot or swivel, doesn't move much now, could use an oiling- WD? It is decorated with beautiful cut-out designs and embossed Eastlake stylized detailing on all sides. It connects to the large cast iron wall bracket with a rod topped off with an acorn finial.
