Also, are 6 oak chairs, with hand-woven hickory chair bottoms. The chairs measure 35 1/2" in height at the backs and 16" in height at the seat. The seats are slightly wider at the front(16 1/2" than at the back(14 1/2" and have a seat depth(front to back) of 13 1/2" The backs of these chairs are extremely comfortable because they are slightly curved backward as they go up, and they back slats are also curved to provide more comfort. Duncan Phyfe style antique drop-leaf dining table and 4 chairs set
For consideration is a solid mahogany antique drop-leaf dining room set in the Duncan Phyfe style. Has 2 pedestals and four chairs. The table has the original Watertown slide mechanism. And was made by Extensole out of Sparta, Michigan. Entirely original, including the brass claw cap feet on pedestals. There are two leaves for this table, making it a 77 inch by 40 inch at its largest(w/the leaves) and 24 x 40 when the leaves are out and sides are dropped. 53 inches with just the 2 sides up. I have easily had 8 place settings when the leaves are in. The four chairs are also solid mahogany. And the pads have a red and green herringbone fabric on them, but they could be popped out and updated with whatever fabric is more appealing to you. The table and chairs do have expected wear on them, but they are truly in good shape. This set was my grandparents' ... morewho purchased it in the late 1920's or early 30's. The Living Room Consignment& Tea is pleased to offer. a charming. Drawleaf oak table with 6 matching chairs, believed to be from an English pub in 1920s. Table legs and front chair legs feature the spiral carving called barley twist. Our consignor's father bought this as an antique in the 1960s; she fondly remembers many Thanksgiving dinners with her family at this table. The warm. Homey wooden table with its paneled table top, carved legs, and matching chairs would be perfect in a kitchen, casual dining room, family room or craft room. Or a pub! The table is roughly 36" square with 2 draw-leaves that slide out from under the table top to add about 12" on each end. The table top is held in place by notches in the wood. And can be completely lifted off for storing or moving. Some of the wooden planks in the paneled table ... moretop have cupped slightly over time. There are dings and nicks in the finish from years of use. But the table and 6 chairs are still sturdy, useful, and adorable. A solid oak refectory table with end supports joined by a stretcher. This table was crafted between the 1920's and 1930's with the original finish. There are two drop down leaves on either side of the table. There are six chairs with one being an arm chair. All chairs are solid with tight joints. Glass tabletop on metal and wicker base with a Lower shelf for extra display. Table measures 36" in diameter and about 30" high. Removable glass top is about 5/16" thick. There are minor scratches due to normal wear on the glass surface. Two chairs made of wicker and metal. Chairs measure: ABOUT 35" high; 17" wide at front of seat and 16 1/2" deep. The colors of the two chairs are slightly different- one is more green than the other. Table and chairs are very sturdy. There are a few places where the wicker is broken or loose and some discoloration on the metal. I have tried to show defects in the photos. This table and chairs set is from Norquist Coronet Wonderfold. The table and chairs fold up and as you can see the round top as well. I have looked around for comparable prices on this piece and I can not find any full sets. It is just the table or just the chairs and the chairs aren't as cool as these. This is a unique opportunity to buy a complete antique set from around the 40's in good vintage condition. All the green you see in the pictures is vinyl, the wood has some mild scratches and wear that you would expect, the only flaw in the wood worth mentioning is a scratch about 1 1/4" long. One of the chairs needs a small repair, the sliding bracket for folding is broken, but can be easily welded or replaced(the chair still folds and is functional but better to fix for safety)

Each of the sturdy chairs has a beautiful lyre back; there are 2 chairs with arms and 4 matching chairs without arms. Seat covers show some minor stains; seats may be easily reupholstered. The table is expandable with leaves. Table pads for the entire length of the table will be included if desired; pads have some staining but can be used under a tablecloth. This is is so beautiful in the Empire style. The large column center post ends in four beautiful curled legs in a square base format. The top is SO nice! This is a 42" round but has two leaves to expand to 66" for dining. Although this was someone's fine dining table in the early 1900's. This also makes an elegant kitchen table, or game table! It is small enough for 2-4 people to sit around nicely but with the leaves you can add up to six people, maybe more. So versatile! Great for a lake cottage or NY city apartment. The finish is just wonderful. This is not a patch job. I see no damage to the table at all and the original sliding hardware ... morelocks tightly with a wood handled latch. The chairs were originally cained but someone has simply added a wood cut seat to each eliminating that whole broken cane issue. These are very sturdy and are marked Wiffmer MIlling& Mfg Co. PA. Signed by the woodworker. Chairs are gorgeous with lion faces on the backs of each! One thing to note is that the leaves are not original to the table. They are cut to size and refinished to match closely(slightly darker due to being from another table) but they are not exact. They match very well. They have dowels to lock into the circle shape. Age, and quality. I purchased this set at an antique store in NC some years ago. And paid much more than this. We are reconfiguring our rarely-used dining room into a playroom. So.
