I am selling a beautiful mahogany(what we think is mahogany) tilt-top table that has been in my family for many years. I am not sure of it's exact age. Or if it is an original or reproduction. It is well-made, no cracks or nicks, nor signs of previous repairs. There are signs of normal wear and tear in the finish, which I have tried to show in the pictures. We are pleased to offer this exceptional pair of antique nightstands or side tables. This pair dates to around 1940. They are made of mahogany and have been painted white and distressed. The pair are elegant and sleek with a low profile. They feature a two tier design with open backs. They have elongated lower sections with curved fronts. There have decorative square. Raised wood pieces on the skirt of the lower tier. These have been left in the original finish to contrast with the paint. The legs are lovely in Duncan Phyfe style. The center leg column has also been left in the original finish. The table has ornate brass touches as well. There are lion face"door knocker" style pulls on each side between the two tiers. This desk is constructed of solid wood.no veneers.which I think is flame mahogany. The dovetailed drawers are constucted of what appears to be bird's eye maple bottoms(which is a very high quality wood to be used on drawer interiors) and oak sides. There is one center drawer and two deeper. More narrow drawers on the right side. Drawers all work smoothly. There is a platform at the lower level of the desk. The four feet are carved animal-type. This is an antique mahogany table that was used in a hallway to hold the telephone and the big telephone books that would be placed in the open areas on either side. There is a center drawer with two brass knobs. The table can be used as a small desk in a child's room as well. The top shows marks of age. Large 32" Antique Mahogany Hammered Brass Folding Coffee Tea Tray Table Detailed Offered here is a simply beautiful tray top table. It features a high quality hand etched hammered brass tray top. The top is incredible and features a rider mounted on a horse fighting what looks to be a dragon. It features many smaller pannels with animals carved in them. It is a very nice piece featuring some incredible hand work on the tray top. The top sits on a hand carved base that is made from one piece of wood. The base is pierced carved and interconnected. It is made from what looks to be mahogany. The table stands 19 inches high from the ground and it has a 1 inch rim on the top that brings the height to 20 inches. I would guess that this piece was made in India or Turkey. It features some of the best art work I have seen with a great deal of ... moredetail. Also. The table is quite large.
