Antique Machine Age Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Coffee Table Base Steampunk
Here we have a great antique cast iron base with hand cranks on each side that turn a gear. The gear comes out a little bit above to top of the table base I imagine it would make for a cool adjustable drafting style coffee table. As you can see from the photos these legs are a bit top heavy. I put a small piece of cardboard to hold the two legs together and they stood up fine no problem so I don't think there would be any issue once a top is crafted for them. The bottom of the legs can also be mounted so this could either be mounted to the floor or even on top of a taller table to craft or even the wall. These legs stand about 18 inches tall not counting the gears and cranks.

The base is a cast iron pedestal from a metal working lathe from 1942. The door on the front opens. The original layers of paint are still there with a different shade showing thru in various spot from many years of use. The cast iron has been cleaned and lightly waxed to bring out its full character. The top is from a retired Patternmakers shop and was turned on a large wood lathe many years ago. It was a blank intended to be shaped into a pattern to make a mold to be poured in metal but was never used. Very sturdy and quite solid! You can actually spin the wheel with one finger! Great item for repurposing! The base is heavy so it supports the top when raised to the highest position with ease. I identified this as a Karlo stand by some others online and the fact that it is identical to others for sale and sold and this one has some remnants of the Karlo tag in the place that it should and the colors are visible. For sale is this great Antique Dietzgen Cast Iron Double Pedestal Drafting Table Base. These don't come around to often. There are two small cracks in the bracket that would hold the top on. But this piece is still very stable. The table tilts and raises by turning the large wheel. The height at the top of the bracket without the top goes from 32" to 46" The leg span is 51 1/4" wide and 24 1/2" deep. There is a height adjustment ring but is tight; measures 22" from floor to ring. Top casting is screwed with bolt and tension screw. All screws. Lock knobs and ring are in good shape but rused tight. The table top has six holes for mounting a top and measures approx 16" long x 16" wide. Sits on three full swivel caster wheels that work well. All original. Still has its original red paint. I don't know exactly what this table is for or how it was used. The top is 16 X 26 Inches of an unknown to me type of wood. It is lumber core with veneer on the top. The pedestal is telescoping and can be lowered to a minimum height of 28 inches or raised to a maximum height of 42 inches. As can be seen in picture number three the top can be rotated to 90 degrees from the original position. It can also be tilted in either direction. There is a rod that can be flipped from one side to the other. I don't know what the rod is used for. But it can be placed in the other hole and it changes where it lies on the top. This table weighs 30 pounds and will require a large box at least 32 inches tall and 18 by 28 inches. Because of the size it will have to be shipped via UPS. Vintage Cast Iron Pedestal Tripod Tilt Top Base Industrial - Excellent Condition
Up for sale is a beautiful vintage cast iron tripod tilting pedestal table base. The cast iron base was in remarkably good condition considering it's age and as best I can tell still has the original finish. Usually these are totally rusted out and the paint missing. A good wash revealed a nice green patina. There is no maker mark or manufacturer name on it. But it has to be old as they haven't made anything like this in years with a cast iron base. When fully extended it is about 40" or so inches tall. The 3 tripod legs are also about 2 feet apart all the way around to give you an idea of size. I am including the 2 metal table top edges that you can put on a future top should you choose. That was the style when this was made. And it is a very nice look. For shipping it will come disassembled as shown in one of the pictures on ... morethe white table. This is most practical as it makes it easier to ship for me. And cheaper for the buyer. It is simple to put back together so that shouldn't be an issue for anyone.

Antique Cast Iron Mermaid Art Deco with Trident, Part of Fish Bowl Base
This was originally one of three mermaids that connected to other pieces of cast iron to form the base for a table or fish bowl stand. Please see the last picture for an idea of what this looked like when it was all connected. Please note that the last picture is not a picture of the actual item for sale. It is a different, complete base. This mermaid is 25.25" long. And 5" at its widest(the elbows) This was cleaned of rust and paint, however at the elbows and other tighter portions I wasn't able to get it all. It was completely sealed with polyurethane so no more rust! If you were to mount this. There are two pre-drilled holes in the cast iron at the top, one in the middle and at the bottom there is a small piece broken off. It is broken roughly across the pre-drilled holes. From an estate dispersal and at ebay for your consideration is this nice old work bench with a vise that stands 39 inches tall and is 49 inches long and 26 inches wide. The top boards are discolored and warping from age. The cast iron vise which has a chip on the back side still works fine and has been remounted some time ago. There is a screen door decorative push plate that was added as a skirt. The legs are solid cast iron and I am sure this bench weighs well over 100 pounds. There is provenance an old brass inventory tag signed Scintilla factory which built military aircraft and bomb parts. The top measures 18" by 24" and has metal lips on both sides to keep items on top from sliding off they can also be adjusted down so they are even with top. Hi and thanks for looking at my auction! This dining table is just really cool. It is circa 1950's and one piece I really thought of keeping. This table was originally used in a series of model homes in Huntington Beach. California that were built in the early 1950’s. The next owner bought one of the model homes and kept the table in the house for the next 63 years. This table and chairs is in such great vintage condition it’s hard to believe. The base of the table and framework of the chairs seem to be cast iron. The seating is leather fastened in place by flathead screws(see pictures) and the butcher block top is in fantastic condition. The table is solid and the chairs are surprisingly comfortable because of the leather sling like design. The pictures just to not do this set justice. Appearing that the previous owner'refinished' all the metal and ended with a gloss black paint. It appears the nuts, bolts and screws are newer(I took the liberty of painting most of them black) The table adjusts from 33" to 44" in height as shown. The large cross supports at the top measure 21" each. The distance between the feet is 24" The swivel and angle adjustments work fine. Industrial Age Steam Punk Cast Iron Metal Drafting Table Base Claw Feet
I bought this at an estate sale so it will need greasing and cleaning but a Great Piece for the Drafter or Decorator. Someone had got some tar on 1 of the feet so I scraped it off and took a pic from the bottom so you can tell it is still in tack. I am not sure of the age but I did show 2 number marks in the pics. An old granite ware wash basin set on top for a garden bird bath and bring it in for the winter as a table or plant stand. Vintage Antique Architects Drafting Table with Industrial Cast Iron Base
This Cast Iron Architect’s Table has a 36 in. by 42 in. wood top. The base is 27 ½ in. by 37 in. with an overall length of 43 in. when measured at the handle. The height extends from about 38 in. to 48 in. and the surface can be tilted. About a hundred years old. It is in good sturdy working condition with these signs of wear: The wood top is solid with marks, scuffs, and stains with a very slight warp to the surface. The base has paint loss and a tight crack in the casting that does not affect its function or strength. One locking handle was replaced by a bolt and can be adjusted with a wrench. A foot has a chip on the bottom but is still sturdy. The handle was not painted and may be an early replacement. Please look at the photos for condition and email any questions. This is a wonderful Vintage Industrial Work Table cast iron base with wood top. This was one of the last to come out of The Scovill Mfg Co. in Waterbury Conn. All sides of the steel base is embossed with the Scovill Mfg name on it. The top is wood with a piece of masonite on it. The bottom portion is the best I've seen. Not a huge bench but great for that Modern Mid Century apartment. It measures 36 wide. 33 inches tall and 20 inches deep. Available for local pickup. Very unique looking industrial cast iron base with a butcher block style wood top. The base is very heavy cast iron and is the bottom section of an 1880's Victor Scroll Saw. This is a true antique piece that at one point was foot powered. The raised lettering has been painted an antique red and then the entire base has been clear coated so it can stand up to everyday use. The whole table is just about 40" tall so it makes a great bar or bistro table. The but her block oak top is 42" wide and was recently clear coated as well. The table is two piece separated by a hinge. The major portion of the table measures 26 inches by 20 inches. The pencil shelf measures 26 inches by 5 inches. The table base is all cast iron with one adjustment for elevation and another adjustment for table angle. The stool also has a screw adjustment to meet the height of the drafting table. Another hole has been drilled adjacent to the damaged area. This was done when the table was disassembled for packing.There are no other damages and there have been no additional repairs. The top plate and column have been zip tied to the base. The nut& rod are packed inside the column. The box is pictured packed but without the additional top layers of Styrofoam.
