It is truly a nice period untouched table. It has a ribbon mahogany top, round corner drop leaves, heavy bold column four legged base, solid cast brass Duncan Phyfe claw foot and built in castors. I normally don’t buy period furniture like this, but I was very impressed by how untouched this piece was. The overall size is 40.5 inches long, 24 inches wide when the leaves are closed, 15 inches wide on each leaf, 52 inches long when the leaves are flipped up. The finish is very nice for being 180 years old. It does show normal nicks, dings and scratches, but I believe it would rub out nicely to make a good presentation.

Duncan Phyfe style antique drop-leaf dining table and 4 chairs set
For consideration is a solid mahogany antique drop-leaf dining room set in the Duncan Phyfe style. Has 2 pedestals and four chairs. The table has the original Watertown slide mechanism. And was made by Extensole out of Sparta, Michigan. Entirely original, including the brass claw cap feet on pedestals. There are two leaves for this table, making it a 77 inch by 40 inch at its largest(w/the leaves) and 24 x 40 when the leaves are out and sides are dropped. 53 inches with just the 2 sides up. I have easily had 8 place settings when the leaves are in. The four chairs are also solid mahogany. And the pads have a red and green herringbone fabric on them, but they could be popped out and updated with whatever fabric is more appealing to you. antique drop leaf table-disassembled/very restorable
If you like restoring antique furniture then this would make a great project. Some of the work is already done because it is somewhat dismantled. The only things missing are the two pieces that hold up the leaves when they are in position but that should be relatively easy to make. It looks as though there is one coat of paint on this. The multi-colored top must have been used for a work bench at one time. There are no drill holes or saw cut marks on the top. For easier and less cost on shipping I will leave it the way it is. I may try and remove the leaves which are attached with 3 hinges each. The measurments are 41" with the leaves extended and 36" wide. Without the leaves extended it is 20" x 36" The height will be 30 1/4" when the legs are attached. Local pickup is available. This is an antique Estate drop leaf ribbon mahogany side table that can convert to a sweet tea table by raising the leaves. Brown leather 3 section top with gilt tooling around the edges. For sale is a antique Duncan Phyfe Drop Leaf Table. It has 2 nice leaves that extends to a 8 foot table. Has the original Duncan Phyfe brass Claw feet covers. It is in very nice condition with only a few light scratches. I am not sure of the type of wood. Maybe Mahogany is my guess. Lots of nice wood carving on the legs. It fold down to a 2 foot table. This is a t from table from the early 1900's and in very good condition. It is old and has a few light scratches and I have not polished this dresser. Local pickup is welcome.
