The legs with braces have been repositioned using the original screws, I imagine over the years the table became wobbley and the original screw holes stripped, therefore repositioned for renewed stability. Standing on traditional escargot feet. The finely shaped and molded frieze rails sweep in to the fine cabriole legs. The parquet top is all good with no significant marks or scratches. When the table is closed it measures; 51 inches long x 39 inches wide and 29.75 inches high. With one leaf drawn out it is 70 inches long and with both leaves fully extended it is 89 inches long. Don't know the exact history of this table. We were told it was originally in a men's store in England. It was in our small gift shop for 12 or 13 years. Magnificent oak Elizabethan style with bulbous legs that are beautifully carved. Has a whole shelf under the table as you can see. The apron of the table is beautifully carved as well. The table measures 8 feet long. 4 feet across and is 30 1/2" tall. There are 6 oak planks on the top of the table and the bottom portion has 4 oak planks. I'm told it is a refectory style table. This table is MAGNIFICENT. Obviously there are scratches from its age but they only add to its beauty. The frame and braces are made out of Solid Oak. The shelves are made out of oak veneer. Both the top shelf and bottom shelf are bordered on three sides with one side left open to slide things in and out more easily. These also can be used as a printer table for your computer printer with storage below for your paper. The drawer measures approximately 22" x 21" It was made by the Wolverine Manufacturing Co. Detroit, Michigan which was organized in 1887. Antique Elizabethan Style Ornate Carved Oak Refectory Dining Draw-Leaf Table
This is an exquisite antique draw-leaf refectory/ dining table in the Elizabethan style. Most likely crafted in the early 1900s utilizing older frieze, legs, stretchers, and support lumber. The frieze. Legs, and stretchers are profusely hand-carved with the bulbous legs beautifully turned and decorated. The top is a solid wood surround with a fantastic veneer center over a two-piece solid wood underlay. The veneer appears at least 1/16" thick. The leaves are solid wood. And appear to be the same wood as the top, but retaining a darker finish. Dimensions: Top: 58.5" x 37" Leaves(each) 25" x 37" Height: 30.5" Maximum length with both leaves extended: 108.5" x 37" Additional photos can be provided on request.

Four bobbin style table legs from turn-of-the century oak table
Here are four table legs. 28" in length. Removed from a 2-tier turn-of-the-century red oak table. The doweling was broken and had been poorly repaired, so I had to disassemble the piece. Assuming that you are going to create or restore a table I will include the brace pieces that went under the table top with holes already drilled for the legs. The holes are at an angle because the legs were originally slanted. You will need to clean out the dowel holes. I don't have access to a work area any longer. I will also send a sample of the dowel in case you ant to create a second tier. Option would be to clean out the holes, fill them and stain to match. I emphasize that these are splendid table legs. With a great patina, gracefully tapered. Their profile is ovoid rather than perfectly round. If they were mine, I would probably treat them ... morewith 0000 steel wool and some oil, but they definitely do not need refinishing. In the next several days I am going to put up the red oak table tops to this piece. You could rejoin the legs and tops. But you can, of course, match the legs to any top. I would probable do a bigger table than the original.

The finish is in very good shape and the oak wood has wonderful color. There is a small age separation to one of the refectory legs which happens in solid wood pieces from time to time. This does not affect the integrity of the table. This table was originally made in England sometime around 1920. The leaves function properly and it is incredibly sturdy. You can put it right into your home and use it right away. The measurement from the floor to the bottom of the apron is 24″ Antique refectory style pub table. VARY RARE.Unique French Style Oak extending table with one leaf insertion. The dividing rectangular top is on turned bulbous legs joined by a shaped X-form stretcher. The table is on removable castors. Height 30 inches. Depth 48 inches, Length 48 inches- Includes one insert 12 inches wide. It is difficult to be sure of the table's age. It is either 1900's that I have been told has been seriously cleaned back and given castors. Or it is a later 20th century reproduction of a late 19th century French type table. I am guessing it is the older 1900's piece that been seriously cleaned which has unfortunately reduced the aged look and charm of the table. This is just my guess and no guarantees are implied. The table could be a high quality reproduction.I don't know. I am told that an older table that has been cleaned and a later ... morereproduction equate to close to the same value because a cleaned older table will be reduced in value. The unusual octagonal base is extremely stable with four gracefully carved legs terminating in oval feet. This table is extendable up to 102" in length. The pedestal stays in the center and four legs fold down to support the ends. It is very sturdy!
