Vintage LARGE Antique Hand Forged Iron Hook & Ring Farm Barn Beam Pulley
Vintage Hand Forged Large Iron Hook. Eyehook, and Slide Ring. The Large hook measures 9" long and hook is 4" across. Hook opening is 2 1/2" Hook and eye were pounded from a solid piece of iron. Slid Ring looks to accomodate 3/4" to 1" cable or rope. This was most likely used in a barn as a hanger and slide for hay bales or something similar. This came out of an old Maine barn- It was rusty but I've cleaned it up some and lightly oiled it to preserve it. This is a very nice vintage large Hand Forged Iron Hook and Ring for your Collection! Vintage Metal Curtain Rings LOT of 11 Tube Style Brass Copper BARN SALVAGE
Lot of 11 metal curtain rings that we rescued from an old barn that had collapsed. Surprisingly they were spared from the fallen wood and years of elemental exposure. I have cleaned it up the very best I could however it is still not spotless. They measure from 2 inches in diameter. I am not sure if they are brass or copper. We actually dug them up from the dirt floor of the barn. They are tarnished and have varying degrees of verdigris on them. White vinegar should stop the corrosion. Two of them are damaged. One missing the eye and is dented and one missing the center tube. I don't know if these are for window curtains or a shower curtain. I have not figured out if they open or if they do how to open them. They appear to be hollow tube style and they look a little deco in design to me. Enjoy! These. Obviously, are hand made, MASSIVE hinges. They swing open 180 degrees. The pin or pintle is 1" in diameter. The vertical brackets are 4" wide x 14" Tall and 1/4" Thick! The horizontal brackets are 24" LONG AND THE ENTIRE BRACKET IS 28-1/2" LEFT TO RIGHT. The connecting bar from vertical to horizontal is a massive 1' THICK piece of plate. VINTAGE MADE and that is true. My welder is a Miller"Vintage" machine. Yes, I designed and made these and I can make more and maybe even add a little customization for you cut in the horizontal bracket w/ precision water jet cutting. This all started because I could not find massive, beefy hinges, well here they are and they are SWEET! They weight_TWENTY-ONE_ pounds, EACH!
