The ormolu has taken on a wonderful warm rich old gold with the passage of time and I have left them just as I found them. Perfect to support a curtain pole but I have also been them used as curtain tie backs and they make gorgeous shelf support brackets too! Each top cartouche is a beautifully detailed rose garland tied with a trailing ribbon bow. The base curl is embellished with acanthus leaves and a double acanthus base finial.
