This old collapsible accordion style towel/hat/coat rack is great because it is so versatile. It is over 3 lbs. of what appears to be hand forged iron and is well made and solid enough to hold anything you would want to hang on it and adjustable to fit in many spaces. Pic#1 is about 22" X 12" and pic#2 about 27" X 10" When collapsed(pic#3) it measures about 15" X 3 3/4" X 2 1/2" It has been painted. But there is some minimal corrosion, which could be easily touched-up. All the"pins" for expansion work freely and are solid. The brass bar is 18 ½ inches long, each of the figural cast iron birds brackets are 11 1/4 inches tall and the weight of the 2 brackets is 2 pounds and 8 ounces. I do not have the mounting plate for this towel rack. I believe it was a piece of the hard wood with a tapered grooves in it. See the last photo to see the tapered shim on both the bird brackets. One Pair of Hand Forged Wrought Iron Hooks. These decorative coat hooks are great for hanging coats. Hats, pots, pans or towels. Hooks have 2 screw holes which hold them securely to the wall ensuring they won't pivot. All hooks are traditionally hand forged by Vermont blacksmith Erik Newquist and finished with linseed oil giving them rust protection and the classic wrought iron look. Up for sale 3 Matching. Vintage, Old Cast Iron, Towel Bar Brackets. Measure app. 2 7/8" tall with a base of 2 1/8" and 2 mounting holes 1 1/2" on center. Have a 3/4" hole for a towel bar. All cast iron with shabby old white or Porcelain Enamel. I am not sure which but I think that it is Porcelain. Have chips and dings but no breaks or cracks.
