Here is an amazing lot of 4 beautifully ornate cast iron shelf brackets that are each two pieces- they are reversible so you can fit them into the wall brackets both ways. I sell a lot of this kind of stuff and this lot of stuff is the best I have ever had. They and an 1886 patent date. The"smaller" still large) brackets are 16" x 8" and the larger brackets are 21" x 9" and the vertical pieces that screw to the wall are 24" long. they have multiple notches so you can adjust the shelf up and down- really great. It gets even better if you like provenance- these were screwed to a wall of a hardware store in the 1890s and just unscrewed from the same building this week. They are japanned black and then someone has painted gold over them. This look is actually pretty cool- mostly gold with black flecks showing ... morethrough. The look great as is or you could get them back to black with a little elbow grease. Or just repaint them the color you like. They are marked"A. W. Koch. Antique Vintage Industrial Steampunk Cast Iron Pulley with Hook
I have for auction an early cast iron antique industrial pulley with an cast iron bent hook coming out the center hole. Looks like an old blacksmith had put it in there for some purpose he had. The nice thing about it makes a really nice wall hanger for a hat or coat hook. I think it would be a nice wall hook to hang your necklaces on or purses. Just some ideas. Wonderful old hook with accompanying hardware ready to hang and use. It came from the most recent estate hunt where the majority of the items being sold were late 1800s-early 1900s and this hook could very well be from that era. There are no markings and it does look to be hand cast. Or forged. The full length of the hook is about 5-1/2" the bottom interior part of the crook measures about 1-1/2" It measures about 1/2" thick at the middle but tapers down at the end of the crook. The chain link is about 4-1/4" long and has an inside measurement across the middle of about 1-1/8" The diameter of the ring is about 3-1/4" Much of what we found at this sale was nautical so this could have been used in a nautical setting but it would work just as well in barn/farm or industrial surroundings. It is in overall excellent ... morecondition but is badly rusted. It can be cleaned up or used as it is. It is being sold as is. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking.
