Here's nice old or antique pair or set of cast iron shelf brackets we received recently with some estate items. These are about 7.25 by 5.75 inch size and about an inch wide. They have no cracks and slight signs of use and age. There is a little paint loss to the black enamel and some minor surface rust as shown in the pictures. These have a nice decorative pattern of the period. Nice set overall. That's about it. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" This is a group of 7 small antique coat hooks that appear to be hand forged. Six of these hooks are the same and the hook that has old paint on it is just a bit smaller. Six of these hooks are in very good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or worn areas in the metal and there are no repairs, but one of the larger black hooks has a flaw in the cast iron(sort of a dent) near the end of the hook which you can see in the pictures. The bigger hooks were all painted black at some point so they do show signs of natural wear and use with most of the paint missing. Seven vintage bathroom fixtures which I believe- not sure- are porcelain over cast iron Included are four hooks in two different styles. A soap dish, a cup holder with toothbrush holder base and another cup holder. Porcelain- if that's what it is- is bumped to the cast iron in several places. Pieces have yellowed or grayed thru the years and aren't very white any more. Some of the bumps resulted in rusting of the cast iron. All pieces are very sturdy. This is a very old nail or spice that I acquired in Nacogdoches. The oldest city in Texas. It is a hand forged square nail that tapers at the end to forma chisel shape. The head of the nail appears to have angled sides but it is hard to tell. not a circle for sure. 7 1/2" long. Rusty with a bit of Texas mud or clay. Of course, it may have originated from another area, so there is a chance it is not from Texas.

A collection of antique cast iron and metal shelf brackets. A lot of 7 brackets theat includes one matching pair(please see photos) The matching metal pair measures 8” x 6” three smaller ones with a plain design measure 7’ x 5” and 5” x 4” and 5 ¾” x 4 ¾” The 2 cast iron ornate brackets, the larger one has a nice star shaped pattern and measures 10 ½” x 8” the other is 9” x 7” Please note all the brackets have been painted and they have some rust on them but all would clean up and re-paint beautifully.
