Discoloration, surface rust found, wear to the back plate, the bottom loop is slightly loose on the body, the makers mark is badly faded and is very difficult to make out; the hook piece is in functional condition. We are unsure if these items are original to each other but they appear to be of the same age and have the same wear pattern. For sale is an old cast iron hanger/hook for horse tack. Tools, or household use. It is marked with a patent date of Feb. 1892. It measures 10 3/4" away from the wall when mounted and the mounting plate is 10 3/4" long. The side with 8 stepped double hooks measures 16 1/2" long. Weighs 2 lbs. 6 oz. It was originally painted black and has some paint remaining- where there is no paint it has some light rust. It could be used as is. Repainted, or lightly oiled to prevent further rust. There are no cracks. Chips, or repairs.

Here is an amazing lot of 4 beautifully ornate cast iron shelf brackets that are each two pieces- they are reversible so you can fit them into the wall brackets both ways. I sell a lot of this kind of stuff and this lot of stuff is the best I have ever had. They and an 1886 patent date. The"smaller" still large) brackets are 16" x 8" and the larger brackets are 21" x 9" and the vertical pieces that screw to the wall are 24" long. they have multiple notches so you can adjust the shelf up and down- really great. It gets even better if you like provenance- these were screwed to a wall of a hardware store in the 1890s and just unscrewed from the same building this week. They are japanned black and then someone has painted gold over them. This look is actually pretty cool- mostly gold with black flecks showing ... morethrough. I believe these were used to hang overhead track from I-beams. The main frame components and clamps are cast iron and the bolts and drop rod are steel. It will fit beams 4" to 8" wide. Large Antique Cast Iron Shelf Mantel Brackets, 18x16 in, vintage old industrial
This is a beautiful pair of old shelf brackets. These antique brackets are made of cast iron. They are very large. At 17 7/8 inches by 15 7/8 inches by 1 7/16 inches. They have 3 mounting holes on the 15 7/8 in side and one at the tip of the 17 7/8 in side. Some of the black finish has worn off, and there is light rust where the finish is missing. This pair is decorative without being too fussy. They would add a lot of visual interest to any room.

Old Galvanized Cast Iron Pulley, for Plant or Vintage Industrial Light, Antique
This is an old galvanized cast iron pulley that screws into a wall. Beam, or ceiling. It would be great for hanging a plant on your porch or an industrial style pendant light in your loft. This old pulley is 2 13/16 inches in diameter. The total length is 6 inches, and the screw part alone is 2 inches long. Some of the galvanized(zinc) coating has worn off, and there is light rust where the finish is missing. There are also spots of old paint. It looks like it was designed to hold a 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch rope. It has a great rustic look that would go with many decorating styles.

This pair is very unique and in great condition. Each one is 12.25" long and 3 5/8" wide. The circular part on the bottom of each has a diameter of 3" with a 3.25" rod. The bottom circular end has a lock mechanism that is still functional. The end circular part contains original markings of" Frimeda" 2.5T" and"A-Z" with an arrow between.
