Antique Edwardian brass folding concertina coat rack 9 hooks
Edwardian brass expanding concertina coat rack. With 9 hooks, the struts are actually brass folded aver a steel backing, which adds considerably to its strength full of heavy coats. It is in good order strong solid and doesn't have any damage, I have left it in as found condition tarnished and not polished, it would polish up nicely but some might prefer it left. It extends comfortably to 24inches it can go further but looks best a about 2 foot, fully closed it is 13 inches tall including the hangers, this of course reduces the further it is opened. You see a lot of these made in wood with wooden pegs, this is quite rare made in brass with hooks.

These all came out of the same house so the wear and coloration is nearly identical. You don’t often get the opportunity to buy 9 hooks of this type that all came from the same home. One has a small casting flaw near the right screw hole so when installing be sure not to over tighten. These are not newer ones that were made to look old, nor are they ... moreanything like the cheap imports. These are in good condition with normal usage dings a few chips and scratches. Some still have specks of their original brass flash still remaining. Hooks would extend from wall about 2 ½ inches. They are about 3 ¼” inches in height. These all were given a light coat of oil. The 3 long pointed ones measure 8" long and 3 3/4"wide. They have hints of colors and on the fronts and the backs have lettering that says BOYE Patent No. 78963 on one side of the clamp and 1037 on the other side. They are light weight iron. I know that only 2 of these are shown but there is a 3rd one.The 3 fleur de lis ones measure 7 1/4" wide and 3" high. They have hints of color also and are heavier iron. The clamp on 2 of the backs is missing and can be replaced. The 3 fleur de lis finials measure 4 3/4" high and 2" wide and are heavy iron. Questions are welcome. Two Shelf Brackets Flowers Scrolls Cast Iron Metal 9" and 8-7/8" Antique
Here's two antique shelf brackets as found with chipped white paint and rust. They were found together but they are not an exact match. They are almost the same size. The Scroll one is just a tad over 9" long and 6-3/4" wide. The Flower one is 8-7/8" long and just shy of 7" wide. They have an art deco design and together they weigh approximately 2 pounds 4 ounces. Plain, bold hooks that are so sought after. In my opinion this was the best pattern of all the many Cast Coat Hooks made in that era. It's quite hard to find even a couple or few of these, but a matched set of NINE is really rare. The finish on these is wonderful: They appear to have been brass plated originally. Then over time and use, the plating was selectively worn down to the bare iron, which has picked up that patina which exposed iron gets only after many decades, and only if kept from rusting. I think the finish is fantastic. ... moreA sort of distressed, time-worn look which adds so much character that any reproduction could never fake. We've cleaned these carefully so as not to disturb the patina. And sealed them with a fine oil-based sealer to preserve& protect. Antique 9 1/2" hay hook with wood handle is in good overall condition. The metal does have a rusty patina. Is a great hook shape with a sharp point, some scratching from usage and is complete with original 5" x 1" round wood handle. The wood show wear, a bug hole and scratches but is not split or cracked. A most unusual antique. Circa 1880's- 1890's, 55" long by 4" tall, grain painted as burl walnut and gilt edged, maple wall coat rack with bronzed nine cast iron hooks. There are four celluloid profile cameos with brass frames. Excellent condition: original unworn finish, board without chips or cracks. Hooks in original finish, no losses. Celluloid without chips or cracks. The hooks and screws will be removed for shipment.

I offer for sale these unique Cast Iron Shelf Brackets! They measure 9"x10&3/4" and advertise the IWH Co or the HWI Co. Not sure which way it would read. I have never seen cast iron shelf brackets advertise a Co. name. These are in great condition too with no damage at all. Backsides do show some surface rust though.
