But both are the same solid white color, and 17 + a half inch length; flattened on both ends. The thicker one is 7/16ths inch thick, while the thinner one is 3/8ths inch thick. Perhaps one is for bath towels, and the other for hand towels? These are in excellent condition. No chips. Cracks, or flaws. There are no brackets. These are very old. Came from a living estate sale of a 83 year old man in Ruffin NC. I spoke with him and he told me they came from an antebellum house that was demolished back in the 50's. I date them by weight size style. early 1900. 1905. I have three sets of these. You are biding on two brackets shown. This hook has been cleaned and treated with a coat of Briwax to bring out the beauty of the patina. The original nickel plating is worn with some small areas of surface rust showing through.
