Antique Mahogany Vintage Pedestal Table with Brass Claw Feet by Imperial This table was aquired used in Chicago in the 70's and served in a one person print shop for over a decade. Hence the ink all over it. Then it was a lamp table until now. All the wood is tight. There are no loose wood parts. Approximate measurements: 26 inch diamter. 28 inches tall The current finish predates the print shop. As it is under all the ink spots. The finish is likely not factory since it is splattered atop the signature. the amount of varnish is obscene! I cannot make out the signature. Any ideas? I'd love to hear them! Shoot me an email! Single deep drawer flanked by two side slots for storage. The leather top is in very nice shape. There is one 3" scratch/gouge on one side as seen in the pics. This listing is for late 19th Century Anglo-Dutch floral inlay Mahogany Coffee or Tea Table. The table is inlayed with flowers. Leaf and vine motive. The table as you can see has some scratches all over and on the top part of the table use to be the glass(that is why all four corner has those made of brass glass holders) but glass broke and that is the reason why is that scratch on top of the table(see photo No. 4 with red arrow) Also there is some paint loss on the side of the carving(see photo No. 8) The table is made of mahogany wood with hand carvings on the side of the table and the legs are also hand carved. Large 32" Antique Mahogany Hammered Brass Folding Coffee Tea Tray Table Detailed Offered here is a simply beautiful tray top table. It features a high quality hand etched hammered brass tray top. The top is incredible and features a rider mounted on a horse fighting what looks to be a dragon. It features many smaller pannels with animals carved in them. It is a very nice piece featuring some incredible hand work on the tray top. The top sits on a hand carved base that is made from one piece of wood. The base is pierced carved and interconnected. It is made from what looks to be mahogany. The table stands 19 inches high from the ground and it has a 1 inch rim on the top that brings the height to 20 inches. I would guess that this piece was made in India or Turkey. It features some of the best art work I have seen with a great deal of ... moredetail. Also. The table is quite large. Unique Pretty Carved Leg Painted Insert Mahogany Coffee Side Table From Scotland
This auction is for a super neat and pretty Painted Insert or Panel on a Mahogany Table with beautiful carved legs from Scotland. Painted furniture is new to me. We seldom buy or even try to get it. But this table just caught my eye and I had to get it. The legs are beautifully carved on two quarters on each leg and each have wonderful"victorian" style feet. The apron under tha table top is Solid Mahogany with a very pretty wavy cut on all four side. The stretcher base has the"wishbone" design on each end and is connected with a solid mahogany stretcher and Get This, each"wishbone" and the stretcher are all"beveled" The top is"beveled" all the way around. It's one of not only the prettiest tables I have seen in a while, but it's extremely well made, Solid& Stable to boot. Everybody ... moretells me'painted" antique& vintage furniture are"IN" so I guess I will find out first hand. It would make a Great smaller coffee table and would also Look Superb in your sun room or covered porch. It could also serve as a side or end table and would look good with a sectional type couch. For Sure, you would want it to be seen by everyone. The table is solid mahogany except for the painted area. It is a veneer that has been inset into the top. The painted area is what I would call slightly distressed, not over done to where the wood shows through, but enough to give it a nice look. My wife said, if she were to keep it, she would have a glass top cut to cover the top. Any local glass shop could do this and it would surprise you at how little it would cost. One thing is for sure, It's the Only One Like It, It's a True One-Of-The-Kind. The table is 28 7/8" X 19 1/4" and 21 3/4" tall. It will have some light blemishes to the finish(light or dark spots or marks) nicks. This item is an antique. Victorian, marble top coffee table with a marble top(Italy) It may be mahogany. Dimensions: Height, 16.5 inches; Width, 34.5 inches; Depth( 22.5 inches. There is carving on both sides. The table is solid and in good condition. With some signs of wear which I think could be corrected. The marble is in good condition, no chips or cracks but some little brown specs(see photo) that could maybe be lightened with bleach and a toothpick. Just guessing, here. There is one little scratched area about an inch long through one of the dark gray areas, but, I also think this could be corrected. The table bottom portion has a wood top and is marked"Made by Victoria" I think- the last few letters of"Victoria" are illegible) This table has been in my family since its original purchase. We are pleased to offer this antique to vintage coffee table. STUNNING burled mahogany veneer encompasses the entire table top. The grain pattern is quite striking. The top is elongated and scalloped. The edge of the top features a black painted trim. The top is skirted. The table column is substantial and rounded. There are 4 large. Carved acanthus leaves featured here. The relief areas in between the leaves has a hammered texture with the black paint repeated here. There are 4 substantial legs, which feature a scrolled design. Again, the inner sections of the scrolls have a hammered texture and again, are finished in a black paint. The table is quite beautiful. It is stained in a medium to dark brown(except for the painted sections) The table is in very good condition. It has very minor scuffs at the feet and legs, but nothing distracting. ... moreThe lacquer is in very good condition. It does appear that the top has been reattached or secured at some point as the attachment screws are much newer than the originals and are in a different area than the originals. This coffee table was made by Imperial Furniture Company out of Grand Rapids. Michigan. Circa 1939. The owner F. Stuart Foote laid claim to inventing the“coffee table” after he helped his wife prepare for a party by lowering the legs on a table. It is 17" tall and 26" in diameter. Just the right size to fit anywhere! It's painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in the color Old white. It has 3 coats of a clear wax to protect it. It is a beautiful little coffee table that came into the shop with a shoddy finish and instead of trying to clean it up and sell it. Like most people do, we take pride in our products. So we went right through this having it sanded, stained a dark reddish brown mahogany color and multiple coats of hand rubbed satin sheen lacquer. It is in beautiful condition. It has four carved corners on the multi-molded shapely top. The top has been double banded on the top with a maple and mahogany inlaid that has a saw tooth design and has a beautiful flame mahogany center. It sits on a ball and claw base with carved cabriole legs and has two legs on each column that are joined together with a solid mahogany turn spindle cross stretcher. The overall size is 37 inches long from carving to carving, 20 inches deep, 18 inches high to the table top and 20 inches high to the carved corner molded top. It is all set to go into the home and it doesn't get any nicer than this. It will cost $129.00 to have this coffee table shipped with in our normal shipping area. Vintage c1940 Mahogany Coffee Table Carved with Marquetry Refurbished
Lovely mahogany coffee table from the 1940s that came from an estate. I did a light refurbish on this piece mainly to brighten up the wood and also made a very minor repair to the scrolling on one end of the table that is not noticeable unless scrutinized up close. Overall it is in excellent condition and features applied scrolled carved detail on the sides with bookmatched veneer and marquetry on the top. There are a couple of blemishes on the top as shown in the photos and a few spots where there is a loss of finish. It measures 39”w x 19 ½”w x 14 ½”h. Manufacturer unknown as it is not marked.
