This is a very nice pair of carved and fluted 1890's Victorian walnut brackets or corbels. They measure 6" high x 3 3/4" deep at the top and are 1 1/2" wide. The original finish has been removed. They are in good condition with no damage or repairs. We also have some other larger brackets presently listed at auction. We will gladly combine lots whenever possible to save on shipping costs. Large Pair of Antique Victorian Shelf Brackets w/ Two Prs of Birds in Scrollwork
Large Pair of Cast Iron Victorian Shelf Brackets. Measuring 13"d x 14"h x 2"w( widest part) Each Bracket has a larger Bird in flight on the top of the scroll work, and a similar smaller Bird on the bottom. The iron is unpainted, with surface rust-which I find creates a very appealing patina. The only structural damage is to one bracket: the bottom 3/4" is missing, as well as most of the bottom hole. The remaining 2 holes used to secure the bracket to the wall, and all the holes used to secure the shelf; as well as all of the holes on the second bracket, are there and in good condition. The scroll work is not missing or damaged on either bracket. The birds and the size of these brackets make them a very unique and appealing architectural accent to your home decor.
