WELCOME TO MY EBAY SITE! OFFERED for SALE is a arts and crafts style antique. Rare and unusual"MACINTOSH" lamp base circa 1920-1930's. The verde green finish base stands 21 1/2" high with finial. 7" wide decorative platform and the harp has a 1" riser. The base has a cloth cord, antique plug and a bryant two light pull chain cluster; one click, the left socket comes on, two clicks, both sockets comes on, third click, the right bulb turns on and fourth click, is off. The top of the lamp where the light cluster begins has(3) small splits(refer to last picture) and has been like this since I purchased the base years ago. This is the only issue with the base. It is in very good condition. When I purchased the base from the previous owner. They also gave me what appears to be a"handel" type harp. I was told ... morethat this was the original harp but they removed it and replaced the existing harp so they could use a fabric shade. I am including the antique harp with the base. In my opinion. The traditional art of Syria going back many centuries. Where every piece is hand inlaid creating a beautiful Mosaic design, embellished with mother of pearl. Circa 1920. Large profusely inlaid Syrian games table, the top with multiple geometric and asymmetric inlays of various woods and mother of pearl. The deep top opens to reveal similarly inlaid interior and a section with a hinged centre which lifts to reveal a chess and a backgammon table and like the outside is profusely inlaid. Here is a special opportunity to own a really fabulous early twentieth century American walnut dining table that has a wonderful story and has been in my family since 1979. My husband. Then"my boyfriend" was working construction for a contractor on Long Island for the summer during college that year and when the two of them dug this old table out of a basement there in Rockville Centre, he was lucky enough to have the opportunity to buy it from the owner. He later paid to have it professionally cleaned up including having the top refinished and having a custom table pad made to protect the top as well. For the next 35 years we used this table as our formal family dining table, the centerpiece when celebrating holidays and special events with our three children and many friends over the years. The refinished top is gorgeous and shows off the beautiful walnut wood grains which I attempt to show in my series of photographs. The heavy carved edging and the large turned legs on a split base with bun feet really make for a striking presentation. The table pads are well used and a bit tattered at their edges but certainly are a great asset for use under a table cloth to protect the top. As I show on the underside of the table. The mechanism shows this table is designed to spread to a much longer length, perhaps 10-12 feet, if someone were to have leaves remade. This terrific table measures 60 inches long by 45 inches wide. Antique ''radio' table from the 20's- gorgeous. Circa 1920 wood, carved
I got this at an antique store a few years ago for $250. But since then I've accumulated six antique tables. I am moving in the next few months and really need to downsize. So, the more'recent' tables gotta go. This is from the 20s and is called a'radio' table. I guess b/c they made nice tables to set your radio on. They are made more sturdy with the bar running underneath b/t the legs. Beautiful carvings and wood inlays on top and it has a very unique style of'bar' underneath the table. I'm not sure what kind of wood this is. Definitely an unusual piece with a lot of beauty. I've gotten many compliments on it. as you can see it's not in perfect condition but it is in very good shape for its age. Oriental Brass Table- Twin Tiers- Circa 1930's This Art Deco period brass tray table is in decent condition for its age. It has heavy patina on the back of both brass trays. There is patina around all of the sides of the brass and in spots on the carved scenes. The wooden stand is in very good condition. It has some patina on the metal hinges. One of the legs has a missing supporting piece(about a 1 inch long little piece of wood) This piece can use some heavy cleaning. This table would have supported a lamp. This lamp is not included. Pleasingly solid brass trays are supported by a folding base to produce a two tier table. The piece is suitable both for permanent location or as on occasional table. When in folded position the table assumes very little space and can be slid under a sofa or such; in addition the gorgeous solid trays may ... morebe used on their own for serving and display purposes. The base is a six leg folding design with dragons head carvings to the upper. The trays display wonderful scense with floral and foliate detailing to the perimeter and a central engraving featuring oriental characters in traditional dress.
