Expanding porcelain top table
Expanding porcelain top table and 4 chairs. The table top slides out from underneath to add extra space when needed. This table is very old and came from a local farm house. I don't know the exact age but the woman that I got it from recalls sitting at it in her grandmothers house for at least 40+ years. It is in excellent condition. The top when closed will seat 4 people. When opened you can get 2 more chairs in. There is a silverware drawer in the front. The base is White. The solid wood chairs are White, and the top has a cream colored edge around it and a very light Sage Green design on top. You might want to give it a coat of paint. But I like the rustic look of it as is. It is very sturdy and has no weakness' in the frame. A couple of the chairs have been repaired over the years. But they are still very sturdy. Vintage farmhouse enamel top kitchen table with rare artisan black and white art deco motif. Signed, beautiful and detailed! These patterned enamel tables are very rare and not many to be found. They were designed and signed by different artists. Features a pretty diamond and floral pattern. Has two pull out leaves and a pull out drawer. Base is white with a glass knob. The leaves extend by pulling them out, they are spring loaded. Condition: Table is in good. Sturdy condition. The paint on the base has been worn down from cleaning. The enamel on the top is not in perfect condition as you can see from the photos, there is some wear and missing or damaged area of the enamel. The inside of the drawer has a divider which is not in the greatest shape but can be pulled out. Overall this table is beautiful and unusual. Fully operational leaf with all latching hardware. Original utensil drawer. Top separates from base. Held by two screws in each corner. Beautiful detailing on the base of the table. Wood base is very sturdy- joints are firm and tight. Base has been painted at least twice- brown over yellow. Several enamel chips around the top edge. Measures 31" wide. This table came from a building near Knoxville that was built in the 1930's by The American Uniform Co. The building is now an electric motor repair co. but the owner told me this table was left by the original owner from the uniform co. It was used as an ironing table at the factory in the 1930's-1950's. The base is cast iron with a very cool name badge on either side that matches the name of the top of the desk. It is all original and measures 27" tall x 54" long x 20" wide. I have had many industrial period table but this is the only table I have seen with hinged legs that fold under. It has been in storage for the past several years but before that I used it daily. Top comes off for moving. Has 2 leaves that slide back under the top. There is a small drawer for tableware. This table I feel is in good condition for the age. Year and vintage of the item. The approx. sizes for this table are: 40 inches wide 25 inches deep. 30-31 inches high. Each leaf 10" wide. I have put many pictures of the top so you can see the ware spots on the table where the Porcelain is missing. This has the rare pull out and up wings(leaves) on the side. There is a leaf on each side. They work but pull out a bit hard and move up a bit hard probably needs some lube and general maintenance long since overdo. The wings drop a bit when in position which probably has to do with general long overdo maintenance. When they were put in storage they went up tight and held in place. This was used in fact for a plant table prior. This has been in storage for many years. This would be an ideal addition to a farm house. Or how about a shop owner ... moreto display items. Authentic Art Deco porcelain/ enamel topped draw leaf table is in excellent condition for its age. There is one small chip on the edge of the enamel this is this can be seen in the foreground of the picture of the tabletop. This is a very small blemish which does not detract from the overall beauty. The extension leaves of the table slide under the center section when not needed. Functions very well. Nice and easy. The legs have been removed for easy transport(it's heavy) Each leg attaches with a simple nut and bolt One divided storage drawer. The wooden legs and apron have recently gotten a fresh coat of paint that coordinates with the background color of the top. The stunning geometric Art Deco pattern on the tabletop is done in forest green. The background color is a soft celadon green. From a distance the background color looks like ... morea cream color or light butter yellow. Local pickup only. No shipping.
