38" L Victorian Antique CARVED ROSES Faux Ivory Ox Bone Graduated Bead Necklace Here is an approx 38" long ANTIQUE or Vintage"FAUX IVORY" OX BONE-NECKLACE with graduated CARVED ROSE or some type of FLOWER BEADS& BEAD CLASP. I'm not sure of age. However I saw a nearly identical necklace sold that was from Victorian era. There are different shades of ivory to darker ivory on beads, a very nice patina. Read on for size& 3 minor flaws. The largest carved center bead is approx 1" long by a little over.50" wide see pic 2. There are 10 graduated carved beads on each side so it hangs very nicely. The next size is approx.75" long by.50" wide& smallest are approx.50" long by a little over.25" wide. The small smooth beads are approx same size as smallest carved bead. Just a bit more narrow. ... moreThis has very old darkened string. Some people like original or very old string for dating a piece. However I this should probably be restrung. Considering the age I think it natural to have some minor flaws. 1. pic 3 shows 3rd bead up from center has a small crack hangs off center sometimes. A bit of epoxy would hold that straight against string. 2. pics 4& 5 show 2 different beads that either weren't carved well or chipped. You have to really look for this, otherwise you don't notice. 3. the bead clasp does work, but it is difficult to close, I think too large of string was used for small barrel clasp. Description 19th Century French Louis XV painted walnut armchair would be a great addition to your home. The construction and detail of the carving on this walnut armchair consists of what looks like a rose that at the top crest of this armchair and bell flowers on each side of the rose on the top chair crest. One the front lower seat rail there is a carved cartouche with what looks like foliage on opposing sides of the carved cartouche. On the inside of both arms of the chair there is a carved pattern. Over the years we have had the opportunity to look and inspect many armchairs and what was surprising with this armchair is the weight of it. We pulled the lining of the underside of the chair to take a look and we did see some old horse hair stuffing and also to see if this chair was gilded at a earlier time but there was no visual evidence ... moreof any gild. This French walnut armchair measures 43" in height. 27" in width, 23" in depth at the chair seat. Condition Overall condition of this French Louis XV walnut armchair is excellent used. Over the years here in South Florida. Many people who have brought their furniture here and they end up painting it that ever so popular white. The frame of this chair is tight or sturdy. Knicks and scuffs to the chair which we have been touched up. There are a couple locations on the chair where you can see where the chair joinery or construction comes together by the seams which is visible more with the white paint. These visual separations are very minute and in know way hinders the overall stability of this beautiful French walnut armchair. The upholstery could be changed to accomodate your decorative needs. There's a little crack in the front and another one in the back. Looks to me to be just a split where the wood meets. Nothing that can't be glued with wood glue. Beautiful Antique Upholstered Oak Rocker I bought this over 30 years ago and had it professionally upholstered with this beautiful rose garden tapestry. Everything was replaced including the springs. Padding and fabric. It is very comfortable but we rarely used it. Fabric is in fantastic condition. Only issue is one of the legs got cracked during a move 25 years ago and the shipping company had someone professional patch it up. Never had an issue with the leg. Up for auction today is the cutest antique stool. It is upholstered with beautiful hand c rafted needlepoint depicting beautiful flowers. Still h as the original tacks all around the edges. It is stuffed with the very old course stuffing but still full and functional so I did not recover. The bottom of the stool is covered in chenille to cover up the old plywood bottom. This could easily be re-stuffed and covered but why- it's so sweet the way it is. There are carved roses on the legs and around the wooden base. Very sturdy. The covering has a couple of small ho les and missing thread but nothing serious. Just normal wear and tear. However I think it is glass from the feel and sound of it. It is opaque but not shiny like milk glass. It seems to be quite old. You can really see the artist's hand in the piece as the lip is not perfectly symmetrical nor are the flowers. Very unique. It would be lovely in a Victorian house or even a shabby chic design. Antique Victorian Earrings Gold Drops w Dangles & Carved Coral Roses (#5025)
Antique. Victorian Earrings. Pendants with dangles and carved coral roses. Made circa 1860-1880. Measurements: Main body of the earrings are approx 1 1/4 inches(31mm) long(excluding the dangle appendages and the round surmount and wires) Weigh 7.3grams. Main body of the earings in the form of a kite-shape with rounded apex. The wides part is set with a carved coral rose. Engraves simple designs above and below. Gold globes on the two upper surfaces and appended dangles, joined via loops so that they swing as the wearer moves on the lower, longer borders. The round surmounts are most likely replacements, as is the case in much Victorian jewellery. Simple wires make wearing these earrings easy and comfortable. We are pleased to offer this beautiful vintage. Duncan Phyfe styled, coffee or accent table. The table features solid, hardwood construction(mahogany or cherry) and an Italian marble top. The table is accented with a rose and leaf"swag" on both the front and back side. The legs are beautifully curved with a large double finial detail in the center of the legs. The table is finished in a reddish brown stain. It is in very good condition with only very minor areas of wear/age. There are no deep scratches or blemishes. This is a wonderful coral color celluloid(plastic) bangle bracelet that has carved daisies and roses. This bracelet is for a fairly small wrist. It has an inside opening of 2 ¼” to 2 ½” and the width is almost 15/16" It is in nice used condition with nice color that has a little of the normal light small splotches. It has a split opening for putting on easier and is marked MADE IN JAPAN. I will ship for $6.95 and that will include tracking. SHIP USA ONLY. STERLING SILVER LADY'S RING with CARVED ROSES - size 7
This sterling silver lady’s ring is about a size 7 ½. The thick silver band is a little over ¼” wide in the front and about 1/8” wide at the back. The intricate carved roses with leaves pattern decorates slightly more than ½” of the ring and the back is smooth& plain. It is impressed inside the band“STERL- the last 3 letters are missing) with 2 impressed hallmarks: C in a Circle’ and another that we do not make out. The ring weighs 4.2 grams. It is slightly darkened with tarnish and has some light surface scratches from being worn. No dents or cracks.
