NOW IT IS TORN DOWN AND THIS IS ONE OF THE REMAINING RELICS FROM IT. MY FATHER HAD PURCHASED THIS BUILDING AND MADE IT INTO THE"KD STATION" SHOPPING CENTER IN 1976. Made by Service Caster and Truck Co. in Albion, MI, was recently removed from Messing Planing Mill in St. Louis. MO. It is fully functional. In original condition and can be used as a cart or small table. This is a smaller but taller style cart and measures 36"L) x 24"W) x 26"H) and weighs a measly 270 lbs. It is in the exact condition that it was when it was removed from the building. Anything that looks white is gypsum that fell from the leaky roof and stuck to the wheels. It will clean up great. The only missing part is one screw for the metal retention piece on the top(and I may have a replacement for it) All castings look to be solid with no repairs. This cart will fit anywhere in your ... morehouse and a pair of them would make great nightstands. The photos look the same. But the cart has been turned around so that you can see both sides. Up for sale is this beautiful antique industrial railroad factory cart with heavy duty cast iron wheels and hardware. This cart has be completely restored- great decor and very functional repurposed as a coffee table. It measures 48" long(53" to metal) by 25 1/2" wide and 15" tall. The distressed wood has lot of character which is all original. The wood was lightly sanded. Stained with Minwax"Cherry" then sealed with two coats of spar urethane. All original castings have been bead blasted. Painted satin black and sealed with clear coat to protect cast iron. The casting are in perfect condition with no flaws or breaks. This is for a Antique Primitive Estate Sale Industrial Factory Railroad Cart. This is wood and cast iron. The 4 wheels-two small at each end and two larger at the sides. The wheels. Corners and trim are all heavy duty cast iron with the bed made of wood. The cast iron is marked MICH MFG& L CO. There is faint writing on the side. It is about 25 inches wide, about 50 inches long and about 16 inches high. The stake to push and steer it with comes right out to make a flat table. This is in unrestored condition just as I got it at the estate sale. There are aesthetic signs of age but this gives it a great look. This would be great repurposed into a coffee table, garden cart, porch/patio furniture, or in a man cave setting. Measures 48" long X 24" wide X 14" high. With the hardware the cart measures 53" long. The large wheels are 12" in diameter and the small swivel wheels are 6" in diameter. Hardware The cast iron hardware is solid with no breaks or bends. No rust since this cart has not been used outside. All Wheels turn freely and easily. Center axle is not bent and is dead straight. Wheels are 12" for the middle ones and 6" for the end ones. Frame The frame of this cart is hardwood and solid. The wood surfaces have wear from being used in a factory. Fully restored Lineberry factory cart! Perfect for that industrial/rustic look to be used as coffee tables. These are beautiful pieces and are a wonderful focal point in your living room! In the early 1900's Charles Lineberry started the Lineberry Foundry and Machine Company in North Wilkesboro. North Carolina. Often called railroad carts, these beautiful carts were originally used in railroad depots for transporting trunks, and were later used in furniture factories for moving large pieces from one specialist artisan to the next. However, they can be restored to give that Restoration Hardware look if desired. The first nine photos show them with a light cleaning, and the last two photos show all the pieces that are included in the auction. I took my table apart when I moved about a year ago and they have been collecting dust ever since. This particular hardware in my opinion has the most decorative corner brackets of any of the factory carts ~ very ornate. I am only selling them to pay for my husbands Fathers Day present. This is a great looking railroad cart. Often listed as an industrial. Factory, or lumber cart. All the wood is original in a gray weathered color. See pictures for details. This would make an outstanding looking coffee table or patio/outdoor piece of furniture. Depending on your tastes, you could put a piece of glass on the top and leave as is to appreciate the weathered wood and protect from spills, etc or go for a refurbished look. It is very heavy. The cart has been cleaned with water(wood and cast iron) and a wire brush has nicely cleaned up the cast iron wheels, axle, bolts, and corner pieces. There are no cracks in the wheels and the axle is straight. All wood pieces making up the frame are very solid. All the wood is very weathered but surprisingly smooth. Industrial antique warehouse cart manufactured by Nutting of Faribault. Minnesota. Wood and iron construction. Measures 36" wide x 72" long x 15 1/2" tall. Two wheels swivel and the other two are fixed in place. Heavy ear to the rubber tires form years of use. Cart rolls and steers easily with a few flat spots noticeable on tires. Cart sits flat without the aid of levelers. Perfect size for a large scale coffee table or store display. Offered as found and uncleaned. Only surface dust has been wiped form the top. Offering A very interesting Industrial Railroad Cart.Creative professionals are using these old finds for coffee Tables.This one was Purchased from local estate.Its great to see that there is more than one way to recycle the historical and useful items from the past.There is writing on the under side and name Nutting is printed on side slightly faded.Cart Measures 27"wide,48"long and approx. 15 1/4" tall from the wheel to top of flat board, turns with ease Cart is in fairly good shape,accept for some rust some cracks in the boards.Still sturdy.All parts appear to be accounted for.Cart is old and orginal to the railroad.Has not been painted or repaired or restored in anyway.In other words has not been fiddled with.Not sure what kind of wood cart is made from. Large Antique Nutting Industrial Factory Warehouse Railroad Cart Table 30" X 61"
Offered from an estate collection is this Antique Nutting Industrial Warehouse. Factory or Railroad Cart in very good used condition. This wood and cast iron cart from Faribault. Minn. is fully functional. Rolls and steers easily and sits flat without the aid of levelers. Includes original cast iron handle. Platform boards show heavy wear, age and soiling commensurate with use and age. Two board have a small edge piece missing. Large size at 61" long, 29.5" wide and 19.5" high from ground to platform. Large cast iron wheels are 18.5" in diameter. Smaller wheels are 8" in diameter. Cart is stamped Property of S&H Drug Co. in several places. You can just make out what appears to be original Nutting brand script on one side panel. Cast Iron brackets are embossed"Nutting" Just a fantastic find for a home ... moreor business owner looking for that perfect vintage flair in a store display or a large coffee table. Antique Industrial Cart Future Coffee Table Factory Cast Iron Super Awesome!
Old antique industrial cart. Cart measures just over 5 feet long and 3 feet wide. The large wheels are 16" diameter and the small are 6" Under the cart the wooden cross member support(See Last Photo) is cracked but this would not be difficult to replace. This cart is large and awesome. It has great cast iron parts and is still quite functional. Cart weighs an impressive 250 lbs. Virginia residents add 5.3% for sales tax. Restored Antique Lineberry Factory Cart Industrial Coffee Table Glass Top
This factory cart has been restored down to the nuts and bolts. This is the second one that I have listed. The other one has a wood top this one has a glass top. Having a glass top makes it nice because you can see all the works on the inside. The top measures 48" by 27" It was completely taken apart and cleaned and finished. All the wood cleaned and sanded.
