This listing is for a very nice. Unique, antique carved gilt wood accent table. This lovely table is reflective of the Arts Crafts Mission styling with some Spanish influences. This is an old table, not machine manufactured. It is very nicely done, and very beautifully carved with a modified, fleur de lis pattern which is repeated. The legs are substantial and feature nicely curved lines. The top is 8 sided with a center that is slightly raised but also 8 sided. No marks or signatures. Very sturdy and no wobbles. We are pleased to offer this extremely beautiful Louis XV style antique side table. This exceptional. Wooden table or night stand features wonderful lines with carved wood accents. The table is two tiered with the top tier being much larger than the bottom. The table top is recessed with a carved wood, raised lip around the borders. It is square but has rounded corners and curved mid sections. The table top has a large, carved clam shell and scroll accent just beneath it on all four sides. The table has nicely carved legs that curve into small scrolls at the top. They angle in toward the bottom tier. Each leg has carved wood acanthus leaves on their lower sections. The feet are very unique as they appear, at first glance, to be claw feet. However, they are actually acanthus leaves that have been carved to look like claw feet. The bottom tier ... moreis small and has squared corners with inverted curves. It has a large, carved wood, lidded urn finial in the center. The table is all wood construction. It has a painted and glazed fiinsh with the soft gold glaze being the predominant color. The carved accents have been finished in a darker gold for contrast. It is quite lovely and very nice. The table is sturdy as well. There are no manufacturer's marks but there is a number stamped under the table top(see picture 11) The table is old and dates to the early part of the 20th century. There is some chipped paint in a just a few areas. This exquisite. Old table is in excellent condition for its age. The table measures 26.5" tall. This is a great old Art Deco piece. The top has two small irregularities in the black tile. I added a picture of the worse one. What you also see in the photo is a hairline scratch and not a crack. Accent table beautiful inlays Moorish-Moroccan style antique 19th Century
Lovely wood table from my mother's estate. With beautiful inlay work including mahogany, boxwood and mother-of-pearl inlays on top and sides. This was gifted to her when we moved from the UK in the late 1960s. My mom believed it to be of French origins. Louis XVI, however while doing research online I have found nearly identical pieces identified as 19th Century Moroccan or Moorish influence design, produced in Great Britain and possibly France when the Moor school of design was in vogue. The table is an ideal size for accent use and is very"condo-friendly" in its dimensions: 18.5 inches high by 11.5 inches top diameter. Interesting history: this was given to my mom by a Mrs. Walters. A neighbour and my sometimes babysitter, who was the widow of a one-time high-end hotelier in London. The Tramp may well have set his teacup, or other more interesting drink, on this very table. Their hotel was damaged during bombing in the Blitz and was subsequently torn down. This table was rescued along with other personal belongings from their private apartment in the hotel. Sorry I don't recall the name of the hotel. Condition: Displays very nicely. Has some bruises that I will describe(and have done my best to capture in the photos) This was used in our family home, so there are minor mars in a couple of spots along the edge of the top and one or two light dings in the wood. The finish has darkened in one corner. There are white lines on all the legs, I have tried to rub them out with no success. This is a cute little mid century side table. It stands 17.25" tall. The top is 14.25" x 14.25" The round base is 11" in diameter. The top is a shiny faux-wood or formica with a plastic edge. The base is a matte faux-wood with a painted edge. I believe the middle pole is real wood. It is in good used vintage condition. There is some scratching and scuffing to the top. Aged brass paw& claw feet and a beautiful brass pull. I believe this housed an old tube radio at one time as there are two round holes in the bottom for cords or wires. The books read, THE WORKS OF SHAKESPEARE, RADIO ART. The table is approx 27" tall, 24" wide and 15" deep. There is some minor damage to the finish, but does not really detract too much because the finish is speckled and busy. There is a tiny gouge in the bottom of the cabinet door. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Petite accent table. The table is made of mahogany and dates to the early half of the 20th century. It features extremely ornate carvings and is in the French Rococo style. The table is a half round, demilune design. It has a very pronounced skirt with heavily carved flowers and leaves. The legs are also nicely carved with beautiful lines and curves. An ornate stretcher supports and connects the legs. The feet are in a claw design with the front, center foot being the only"whole" foot. The table has been(I don't know when) painted on the top as well as an accent to the flowers on the skirt. The paint is an off white to cream in color. It appears that the table top has an antiquing glaze as well. The table is quite beautiful.
