C3097. this is a very lovely old table and will serve well it's owner for many more decades. it measuress about 42 1/2" x 42" without leaves and stands about 29 inches tall. it will take castors and that would give it a few inches more in height. But it does not have castors on the legs for this listing. it measures about 71 inches when the three solid oak leaves are in place. the leaves are about 9 1/2" wide. the table and leaves are solid oak; no veneer. i think it dates from about 1900 to the 1940's but not sure of that. it has turned legs and is heavy for it's size. thank you for looking and please visit all my furniture in my store. Primitive Wood Candle Table- Candle stand- 3 Legs- Swivel Top- Handmade-Marked
Offered is a wonderful old Primitive Candle Stand Table. I'm quite certain it is antique and appears to be all handmade. I'm not real familiar with wood types but it has nice grain similiar to oak but the peice is light in weight as I'm sure the wood has dried over its years so if I had to guess maybe a mahogany wood. There are 3 legs that look like wish bones in shape. Theres a turned center spindle that's peg goes through a hammered Iron peice and a wood block and it has a wood pin on its top side. Its a very primitive style of attachment but it allows the top to spin but it also give looseness so the top is a little wobbly but could easily be shored up if desired with a little wedge of cardboard or wood. The top has a slight lip around its edge. On the underside of table top and underneath the legs its marked with the name ... moreor word"FOOSE" Its a great old little table for Primitive Style decor. The condition is good but the wood top and legs have some normal scuffs, dings and scratches associtated to its old age and use. It height is 20 1/2" off floor and the top is 11 1/2" across center. For your consideration 3 Rare Mid-Century Wood with Metal Legs Folding Tables Found at an Estate Sale in Palm Springs CA The estate was for someone born and raised in Iowa. All 3 tables were made by The Monroe Company Colfax Iowa This is a rare chance to have 3 tables that a family from Iowa would of bought new in the 1950's from the The Monroe Company. What is great is that these tables seem to have been bought at different times, one has a plain wood trim it might be the oldest, weighs in at 22 1/2 lbs, then the next one has a nicer wood trim and a little nicer of a top in at weighs 23 1/2 lbs and the third one has the same wood trim as the second one. But with a Formica top. That may have been an upgrade? weighs 25 1/2 lbs Being from the west coast I had never seen this style of folding table. These may be the sturdiest folding tables ... morethe USA ever made. I'm going to list these as pick up only. But I'm willing to work with you on shipping, I can take it to UPS or Fedx, or we can mail them in two boxes. But fair warning shipping will be a lot. they all measure 30" x 30" with a 2 1/2" wood trim.
