For sale is a vintage mid century bench stool. It has a vinyl top that is what I would call an off white with a darker beige pattern in it(see 7th picture) The top of bench measures about 17 inches square and is about 3 inches thick. It is attached to skinny pencil legs that bring the overall heighth of the bench to 13 inches. The bench is in great shape without any flaws that I could find in the vinyl. The stool is very heavy and substantial. This stool can serve many functions. It could be used as a bench to sit on. A foot stool to put your feet up on, and an extra low table for putting food on when eating in room. This may have been my Grandmothers but I remember it from my Aunts and then my Cousins. It seems like it was recovered with this floral tapestry or needlepoint material some time in the 1970s and looks to me as if it was reglued at the legs. The Upholstry job apears to be a good one and the little tacks apear to be more modern and up to date so new when the Upholstry was done. Thats all I can put together. Solid. Has some little round felt bottoms to prevent scratching of the harwood floors in that house. The Needlepoint shows some age and wear but no loos ends or frays. White Ottoman Stool is slightly off white somewhat of a pearl look to it. Pictures are close. But its not so starkly white. Nice little foot stool. Original mid century piece. It is in good condition with some light signs of use. The brass plate on the foot covers is tarnished and there is an area on the top about 1" square that is slightly yellowed. I could not remove it, but is only slightly different color than the vinyl. Very sturdy and solid construction. Top is 23" long and 16" wide. 13 1/2" tall. Free Shipping! This is one of my favorite small benches that I have owned. I have had this for several years. I purchased this from a wonderful lady named Stacey Haynes who is a seller on ebay also. This is a stool that she had in her living room and her home was featured in the August 2003 issue of Romantic Homes and you can see the stool very well in the pics. I believe the article was entitled Lakeside Living. This stool has the most Romatic Pink Roses Vintage Fabric on the top and it has iron legs with a crossbar. The legs are antique. This stool top is approximately 24" long by 11 1/2" wide and it is approx. 16" tall. The stool is very strong and sturdy, you can sit on it or put your feet up.
