Underside of Saddle does need repair, needs to be rethreaded to seal in the stuffing, grommets are all in place however they do have some rust. Otherwise leather could use a gentle cleaning. Leather is soft, could use some conditioning. Wooden Seat is in Good Condition. Has original Rawhide? bindings which are stiff however they don't appear to be brittle or cracking. Available for your consideration is a Vintage Mid-Century Vinyl Hassock- Foot Stool- Seat Fresh from a local estate sale comes this wonderful hassock. Just like the ones that existed in every house in the mid 1900s. Considering the age. This stool is really in good condition with a few issues. There is one small spot on the top that is discolored orange or brown. I marked the area in one of the pictures below. I cleaned this stool with warm water and a mild dish soap and the spot did not come off but I did not try stronger cleaners. It is a small area and is not really visible unless looking from a certain angle. The removable wood legs have wear and scratching to the surface. One of the legs has lost the foot and the other three feet the bottom material is mostly worn off. You may want to put a new set of four feet on.
