The hook part is 2 3/4" tall and 1 3/4" wide, the screw part is 3 3/4" long. This hook is in good condition with normal wear has some paint on it and no damage. Today I will be listing 2 very unique victorian era hooks. Both will have BIN's and if you win both you can save BIG on combined shipping! So up first is this antique victorian era cast iron chandelier/ceiling hook with matching rosette/bracket/plate. The entire hook measures about 5 3/8" long and the hook section itself is about 2 9/16" long. The rosette/plate is about 2 7/16" in diameter at the diagnol. Both parts are in excellent shape with some typical light wear and oxidation. As pictured. I see no damage so this hook is ready to mount. There is a sligth bend in the screw section that you can sort of see in the last picture but this will have no functional or structural effect. The two larger hooks have the same detailing in the casting and match each other(the screw shafts are slightly different. The smaller hook is a different Eastlake design. All three are a screw type hook, the two larger hooks are about 7 inches in total length and are original Victorian hooks. The smaller one has the screw tip broke off but will still screw into a hole correctly, the smaller hook also has a shiny screw shaft so I am not sure if this is a original Victorian hook or a reproduction.

Antique Victorian cast iron ceiling hook with mounting plate
Great antique ceiling hook is very decorative. And quite heavy duty. Likely used for lamp/ceiling fixture originally, but could be used to hold hanging planter, tack, or even mount on wall. Magnet sticks; I figure it is cast iron with bronze wash; I can see traces of gold under the dirt; this is sold as found, but in terrific condition. Total length is a whopping 6 3/4" with 3 3/4" being threaded pointed rod. Back-plate is detachable, and just over 2" across. Antique Cast Iron Victorian Ceiling Hook ca 1879 Safety Hinged Trefoil Arch
This Victorian cast iron ceiling hook is not only beautifully detailed but also hard to find. It's unique hinged safety closure design along with it's trefoil arch pattern make it very appealing. The finish is original and the years have warmed it to a rich patina. The hinge swings freely. It was not designed with a locking mechanism but when in use. It was designed to stay closed due to the weight of what it holds. In the center it is stamped with Patented July 1879. I do not know the manufacturer. Approx size is 6 3/4" from end to end. This is a stunningly large antique 19th century Victorian solid bronze ornate ceiling hook. It is the largest I have ever come across and is made from very thick bronze. it is done with an abundance of very intricate detailing and done in high relief. it has acquired a lovely patina from age and is a hook that can hold a lot of weight. it also has a spring loaded lock so items being hung do not come off. it has a very long threaded shaft for mounting. it measures 11 1/4 inches long. the hook alone measures 3 3/4 inches by 2 1/8 inches wide. the shaft alone measures 7 1/2 inches long. it can always be shortened and re-threaded if desired. in very nice condition Thank you for visiting"Dusty Treasures" and please feel free to browse through my online ebay store where you can find several more wonderful items similar to this. ~ PAT 1881 ORNATE BRASS CEILING HOOK PULLEY BRACKET ~ VICTORIAN ADJUSTIBLE LAMP
Offered is an antique brass bracket bearing an 1881 patent date. It houses two small pulleys and I believe it was part of a counterweight mechanism that raised and lowered a hanging lamp(or plant or birdcage. Etc. I cannot identify the maker or determine it's exact age, although it is positively an older item. The ornamentation on all surfaces is typical of the Victorian period. My guess is that the motif is sunflowers. The bracket is about 6-1/2 inches long and about 2-3/8 inches tall. It consists of two brass halves joined with copper pins. The small pulleys will handle rigging up to about 3/16 inch in diameter. The piece is in good. Fully-functional condition. It has a slight bend laterally, top to bottom, that would probably straighten with a little effort. I looked at them with a jeweler's loupe and they do not extend to the edges, nor are they very deep. I suppose they occurred long ago when the piece was deformed.
