In very good used condition. The back part that hangs on the wall(2 screw holes) measures 7 1/4" long by 1 1/8" wide. It looks like wrought iron but is some type of cast metal. The shelf support arm measures 8 1/4" long. The shelf support arm is textured and is not adjustable.it is fixed onto the back part as shown. Beautifully carved antique shelf supports
Because I sell furniture I tend to see a lot of different shelf supports but I have to say this pair are quite exellent from every standpoint. Of solid oak they are beautifully carved and of pleasing proportions such that they can be adapted to various shelf layouts and still look good even though they may be heavily overlooked by the shelf above. Looking at pic 2 two holes can be seen in each piece where the original shelf was fitted and I could easily have panelled these in to give a finished appearance for the photograph but I thought that whoever needed these might wish to use them in a different way so I have left things as they are. The odd colour in that picture is because I used flash. Sizes as follows: height 23 cms( 9 ins) width 7.5 cms(3 ins) projection 12.3 cms( 4 7/8 ins) aprox.
