There is a"loop hole" at the top to mount on the wall and was designed to be easily removed by rising it up and then away from the wall. Victorian Antique Cast Iron Wall Mount Check/Receipt Spike/Spindle
Up for sale is an antique Victorian wall mount check/receipt spike/spindle I purchased at an estate sale. It would have been used to hold notes. Papers, checks, or receipts. It would make an interesting key holder, or ring holder, it would look great in the garden as a hanger. It is in good vintage/antique condition with some surface rust which, in my opinion, adds character and authenticity to the piece. Please see all pictures for condition issues and dimensions.
