Vintage STIMPSON Scale Bracket Heavy Cast Iron Meat Hook Wall Mount Antique Rare
The pictures speak for themselves. I admit that I know little about this old STIMSON Wall Mount Scale Bracket. And that's after having it for several years. Moving it& tripping over it a half a dozen times. In my internet research I could only find 1 more like it. It was complete, dated 1928& was called a Meat Hook Scale. I had intentions too make a tool rack for my log furniture tools but that is probably not going to happen. I cannot say the two pieces go together but they were together when I bought them. The total length of the steel pipe is 29 1/2" and the cast iron wall mount is 21" and weights 31 lbs 12 oz. The scale bar? is brass& 28 1/4" long. It weights 7 lbs 9 oz. They weight 40 lbs total. This is an awesome pair of Antique Iron Brackets made in the late 1800's. They came out of an antique hardware store that was built in 1893. The brackets have the original paint on them which is crackling and chippy. There is surface rust all over each bracket. I have inspected each piece and have found no cracks, welds or damage to the body of each bracket. They are adjustable, each bracket has an extender on it that is held on by 2 screws and nuts. These extenders offer the bracket to hold a shelf or sink from 13 1/2"18" they are very sturdy and can hold a lot of weight. This is a rare antique. Adjustable, industrial cast iron bracket. This bracket weighs 6 pounds! There are no breaks/repairs. Looks to have a good portion of it's original black paint, with some green paint that does not appear to be original. There is rust showing through throughout the piece. What makes this bracket rare is that your able to adjust each arm at a different angle, example: you can adjust one arm straight up, while leaving the other straight out. Great for multiple uses! ANTIQUE BRASS CURTAIN TIE BACKS You are bidding on an exceptional pair of early 19th Century brass curtain tie backs or tie pins with a RARE EAGLE DECORATION. They are a lovely deep gold in color with bright gilt highlights. These tie backs measure approximately 3 1/2" in diameter. Both retain their original pewter post and screw. The post measures about 2 3/4" and the screw adds an additional 1 1/8" There is a small split or puncture hole on one of them. This damage is located where the post meets the brass on the face of the tie back. It can be seen in the photos on the eagle's back between the wings. The other tie back has very minor damage in the same location. This can be seen in the photos. These round gilt brass concave center tie backs are quite rare because of the eagle decoration. The eagle symbol is extremely ... moredesirable for collectors of Federal. Empire, and Neo-Classical objects and decor. These are a very rare pair of curtain rods. No brackets. But they would take the really cheap modern brackets you could paint black to work with these and they would look awesome! Description Up for your consideration is an extremely rare mechanical quick release hook. The release mechainism is lever controlled. It appears that it used to have a spring return on the lever. Everything appears to work fine if you manually push the lever back into position(or just replace the spring and it will work automatically) When released. RARE Cast Iron barn Wall Hanger. 3" long from the back of the wall plate to the end of the hook. Plate is about 3/8" thick. 2-1/2" long, and 2" wide. The hook portion is 3-1/2" long, and 1/2" stock, and weighs but a quarter of a pound! A rugged little hanger, made about 150 years ago. This also came from Senator Baisley's barn in Uxbridge, MA. about 60 years ago.

RARE Antique Cast Iron PAIR of Wall Hangers MADE 1800's
RARE antique PAIR of Cast Iron Barn Wall Hangers at least 150 years old. From bottom of wall plate 6-1/8" long. The wall plate section is 3-1/4" long and 2" wide X 1/4" thick, very ruggedly made from base to a 7" long, 5/8" curved hook, they weigh about 1-1/4 lbs. each. Put a 7" piece of hose over the end and it is back in its original condition. As stated above one of them has a broken piece off the bottom of the wall bracket which does not interfere with the screw holes, and wont fail to work properly with this missing piece. I have figured the price with this in mind. These were also those that came Senator Baisley's barn of Uxbridge, Mass. about 60 years ago.

The old red paint is mostly still on them. A 7" piece of rubber hose has to be put around the end of them, to have them as they originally were when new.

Up for your consideration is this beautiful late 1700's or very early 1800's Antique Battersea Knob. The knob was made by J. Grossman in the late 1700's. Or early 1800's and were used to hang pictures from as a decorative item. They were used by the wealthy and had come in many styles of the period. Pictured here in"Wallace Nuttings, Furniture Treasury, Volume 2" The piece is made of brass& porcelain with the picture being etched into the porcelain with hand painted highlights. These pieces are rare and hard to come by. The picture shows a lady with long curls drinking from a cup with an American Eagle at her side.
