Unusual and lovely find. Antique wall coat and hat rack. It is an original. And not very common; even the single ones are becoming rare. Beautiful. Long, iron stylized hooks on the top tier; I believe these were for gentlemen's hats. Large in size- 33" long- a real show piece. The wood is oak and as the original finish on it. The hooks can be folded over out of the way when not in use. There originally were 5 long on the top. But one must have been lost, so a bottom one was moved up. I did not notice at first, and then thought it was for a corner wall, but no, there is one missing from the bottom. Rack is approximately 33 by 7" wide in measurements. A very special original home decor item. When attaching to wall. It needs 2 sets of hooks on each wooden tier for security. Thank you. See pictures for further detail.

For your consideration is this fantastic looking hat/coat rack made out of a piece salvaged of furniture. The quarter sawn oak backboard and carvings are beautiful. The piece has 5 vintage style cast iron hooks measuring 5" tall x 3 1/2" deep. There is a small chip at the top center of the lions head. It appears to have been done sometime ago as it has the same darkened patina overall. Overall the piece measures 16" tall x 50" wide x 4 1/2" deep. The coat hook measures 995mm long. The oak rail measures 65mm high by 28mm thick, the hooks protrude from the oak rail my approx 75mm. Vintage School House Coat Rack Cast Iron Triple Hooks Oak Bracket
Old coat rack with three cast iron hooks. Each hook has three hooks and is designed to slip over the supporting oak bracket. All three hooks are in good condition and retain most of the original black finish. They do require some additional cleaning. The oak bracket is original with a few very small spots of paint. The bracket was designed for four hooks but three came with it. Similar hooks can be found. The bracket is 23" long and the hooks extend 3 1/4" from the wall. 210.
