BRON, STROBE) ihre aggregate/generatoren so konstruiert, dass sich stativrohre wie diese direkt am/im a/g befestigen ließen. die a/g waren so kompakte solide standfüße und ersetzten gespreizte stativdreibeine, die ja auch gerne zu stolperfallen werden. wir haben hier vier solcher teleskop-rohre von balcar. die basis hat einen durchmesser von ca. 24mm. Industriestandard und foba-kompatibel. sie lassen sich bis auf 280cm ausfahren. die balcar-köpfe waren seinerzeit federleicht, deshalb tragen die rohre so weit ausgezogen auch nur wenig gewicht. aber wenn wir das dünnste rohr nur halb ausfahren, steigert sich die stabilität deutlich. ... moredie einzelnen elemente werden mit schraubmuffen geklemmt. unverwüstlich. Ähnlich GIZO. ich hatte immer geplant allen einen soliden fuß zu verpassen. So wie einen sand- oder zementgefüllten kanister, oder eine gehwegplatte, oder. eben etwas was kompakt ist und schwer, damit ich mir diese gespreizten beine spare, um in einem kleinen stillife-studio-set beweglicher zu sein. FOBA verfolgt mit seinen tellern einen solchen ansatz(leider sehr teuer) aber es wurde dann doch nie was draus. I've always loved early lighting but I am not an expert(on my bucket list) This piece was purchased here in Michigan but from a New England dealer. It is made of rolled tin and dates to the early to mid 1800's. I think it was originally for whale oil although it now has a"clump" of early fat or tallow smeared on the top. I don't see where it opens to put the oil so I assume it would just be poured into the top. The original wick sticks out from under the tallow. The condition is great with no splits or loose pieces. There is some surface rust on the underside and one side(see photo#7) Mentioned for accuracy. There are three numbers handwritten on the bottom; for what reason, I do not know. There is over 1 2 feet of chain to hang and swag at just about any desired height. It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks in the glass globe. There are a couple of areas on the globe where the frosted finish has worn away. As well as surface rust on the chain. VINTAGE Textured AMBER Glass elongated globe to this SWAG/ Pendant lamp. Use as an accent lighting piece. Extra long CLEAN cord with metal chain links. Is over 9’ long, I think it is 12’ In line switch is also in great working condition. A red bulb is inside to help show the lighting but you may change it to any color or to a clean white one. I recommend a 4” slender bulb for the best light distribution. Glass cylinder shape mid section with an ornately designed top and bottom. Make this a very long 23” tall. I think it's mad e mainly of aluminum with a glass dome lens. I really don't know much about it. But it seems like it would be a good one to convert into a regular 110 table lamp, ceiling, or wall fixture. It's pictured sitting on a roll of tape. There's a little piece on the side at the bottom that sticks down just enough to be in the way. It has 2 rivets that could be drilled out if you want to remove it. Not including that piece it measures about 12 1/2" tall. About 4 1/2" across at the bottom and nearly 9" across at it's widest point. It has scuffs. Scraches, use-wear, and some speckles of spray paint on and around the red tag. I have another one. If this one does well I may offer it to the highest bidder at the same price(high bid each) if that buyer wants a pair. It weighs around 10 lbs. unpacked. This vintage metal electric lamp is a Swivelier by the Swivelier Company of Nanuet. New York. The heavy based lamp features an antique brass finish with black accents and a perforated cone shade.
