Antique Lovely Ornate Victorian Plant Oil Lamp Lantern Bird Cage Wall Hanger
Up for auction is a lovely and sturdy Victorian Era metal wall hanger. These lovely old hangers were used to hang plants. Lanterns or oil lamps, or bird cages. There are no maker's marks or dates on this piece. It is a sturdy hanger and the arm is attached solidly attached to the backplate. This is a fixed arm hanger and it does not swivel. The design is very elegant featuring a scroll and fern-like design on either side of a center column. The backplate measures 5 3/4" high and is 3 1/4" across at the widest point. The hanger arm extends approximately 9 1/2" from the backplate and 9 3/4" from the wall when hung. The hanger is in very good antique condition with a lovely red/orange patina in the design. There is one vary small ding in"column" on the right side of the backplate. You can see this in the close-up ... morephotos. I took photos with and without flash, so please look closely at the photos to make your own determination of condition. Please feel free to ask any questions prior to placing a bid.
