Antique Wall Mounted Oil Lamp Holder Brass & Copper Finish Decorative Lighting
You are bidding on a wonderful Antique wall mounted oil lamp holder that came out of a 1700's New England farm house. I do not know the age of the brass lamp holder or where it was made. The cup screws tightly on to the arm and there are two screws on the sides of the cup to hold the lamp or planter. This unusual piece of art is 11.5 inches long and the cup has a beautiful flower design. This item has been used for many years and has not been polished or cleaned and is in as found condition. Please see photos for condition. There is no wall bracket. Just the arm and cup. This item would make a nice addition to an oil lamp, antique lighting or metal work collection or as a usable home decor piece to hold a oil lamp during power outages or as a planter holder. Vintage Cast Iron Oil Lamp Hanging Wall Bracket Holder
This iron oil lamp bracket came from an estate auction in Vermont. I am unsure of it's age. It measures 11 1/4" long and about 10" high. The piece that hold the oil lamp measures 3 1/2" on the inside bottom and 4 3/4" on the inside top rim. It has rust and some white marks that may come off with cleaning. It does not come with the hinge that connects it to the wall. It weighs 2 pounds. 4 ounces.

18th 19th C Antique Folk Art Iron Hardware Betty Lamp Holder Spike Hook AAFA
7 3/4" Long x 6 1/4" High Likely dating from the mid to late 18th century. This is a great original example of a blacksmith made hook that would have been used in an early home to support a grease or fat(betty) lamp. Betty lamp spikes" as they have come to be known we used in early homes to support various pieces of early lighting such as grease lamps. Whale oils lamps, betty lamps, etc. The piece would have been hammered into the wall or beam of an early home. While we've seen some great examples of betty lamp spikes in the past such as ones with heart shaped and floral designs. This is certainly one of the best folk art examples we have come across. As you can see the blacksmith who created the piece made a masterfully formed the profile of a bird, complete with incised eye decoration. VINTAGE VICTORIAN IRON GINGERBREAD LAMP HOLDER BRACKET This bracket is in good shape. Not sure exactly what it is used for. Was told it is part of a lamp bracket. Don't see it. If you know what it's used for, it's your lucky day! Or if you don't know and want to use it for something else, today's you lucky day too! It it painted red, has gold peaking out from underneath. The only markings I see is"pat. pend.image 8) This is a very interesting piece. Please see pictures for details) The approximate measurements are 20 1/4"long 7 1/2"wide 4"deep. This is an antique cast iron bracket for most likely swing arm type curtain rods but this could also be used.if the measurements are correct.a bracket for an antique oil lamp holder(or plant holder as more commonly used for these days) It is cast iron with an old gold paint which has mellowed down to resemble brass. The back plate is 4" x 1 3/8" and is gine on the back side. For your consideration: From a day gone by. This ornate cast iron wall sconce will hold your largest oil or kerosene lamp. It appears to have been repainted, but I find no evidence of cracks. The holder measures almost five inches in diameter. This beautiful architectural piece measures 5 1/4" from the bottom tip to the bowl and 4 1/4" from bowl to highest point. For a total of 9 1/2 inches! It extends just under 11 inches from the wall. It sits in a moveable. Screw mounted bracket which measures 3 1/4" x 2" at its widest. I am uncertain of its age. The lamp holder is embossed with U A on the inside. No other marks. Please ask questions and thank you!
