This is the biggest and nicest one of these old hitching rings that I have ever come across. It is a magnificent big one. The ring is a hair over 7" in diameter. And the ring stock is about 1" Overall length of the ring and post is 15 1/2" It weighs a little over 6lbs. It is in super nice condition with a nice finish. It has been lightly brushed of any loose surface rust and oiled. The construction is early and primitive, with the blacksmith's lap joints clearly visible and prominent. unbelievable piece that looks way nicer"in hand" than in the pictures.
