Cast Iron Hooks Set of 2 black cast iron hooks. Great for hanging baskets on the porch, deck, house or barn. They have quite a bit of patina and some slight surface rust in spots. I purchased the set about 20 years ago. They looked exactly the same then. I stored them and never used. The straight back bracket has a hole on both the top and bottom for a mounting screw or nail. Not included. They measure 17" long(back bracket) Hook extends 12" from the bracket on one and 13" on the other. The longer one is bent slightly different. Each one weighs 2 pounds. This is an old. Cast iron, country store, oil lamp hook. These lamps hung from the ceiling in many General Stores years ago. Today they have many uses including a hanging lamp, a heavy plant, a birdcage, or virtually anything that needs a sturdy decorative planter. The entire hook is 6" in length. These two(2) vintage. Indoor-outdoor metal wall brackets were used inside a home. They held many different potted plants.until the last ones died. Both have their original metal screws included. Both are stamped with TAIWAN. One of the brackets has a swivel hook that the plant hangs on. The other bracket has a swing arm; that swivels left or right at the wall. The thinner. Vintage Cast Iron Hubley Canary, Bird Cage Hook/Hanging Plant Basket Hook 1920's
Here we have a wonderful old vintage birdcage hanger or hanging plant bracket. Circa 1920's. This unusual Hubley hanger is made of cast iron, and the reticulated swinging arm still features a good amount of its original paint. The hanging bracket itself has either been stripped of paint or never was painted. Overall, it measures 8 1/4" long with the hanger coming in at 1 3/4" wide by 3 1/2" long. The casting has great detail and includes a sunflower, rose and other flowers, as well as a yellow canary perched at the hook. Being that spring is just around the corner, this would be a lovely addition for anyone restoring an old home, or just sprucing up the garden.
