FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS fatiguedfrenchfinds This is a large antique French 19 th century bronze curtain tieback. It is in the Rococo style with an acanthus leaf surrounding a vacant cartouche at the decorative end. The length from the top of the tieback to the centre of the curve is 29.5cms or 11¼” The small back plate has a screw hole at the top for fixing it to the wall and it measures 9.5cms long or 3¼” The large size will mean that it will be able to sweep up a large curtain or drape. Antique Pair Painted Brass Ornate Cameo Bronze Drape Curtain Brackets Tieback
This is a pair of antique vintage brackets(tie backs) I believe they were used for drapes/curtains. I'm not sure if the metal is brass or bronze It has a gold look finish that has a great patina. They are ornate with a raised metal cameo painted white on a blue green background. The paint has some chipping but could be repainted. The bracket measures approximately 6 1/4" long x 2 1/2" not counting bracket. With bracket it is approximately 4" wide. I have not cleaned these brackets they have a nice antique look.
